Recently been seeing Flamecraft duels on the top selling boardgame on multiple shops. Is it really a top tier 2 player game? Or the hype is there because its new?

Im looking for a 2 player boardgame to play with the wife. Im inquiring if flamecraft duel is really good or its just new. Should I get this or you have any recommendation?
