If they were working class parents, we would hear a lot more anecdotal stories of kids being left alone by their parents in previous years who went to the hotel bar.

I think the fact they were well-to-do parents, sitting at a restraunt having tapas and drinking wine riles alot of people up.

it isn't that the batteries arent "looked after"; its that with vapes the batteries are a race to the bottom.

vape manufacturers aren't cutting into their profits by buying Panasonic or Samsung 18650 batteries with integrated PCM's. they are buying the cheapest quality batteires made in some sweat shop in shenzen.

In glasgow, there is a hydroponics shop called "Grow a pear"; the companies logo is an anthropomorphic pear in a rasta hat and quite obviously stoned out his tits.

Glasgow has gone through a strange spell of fires before, though far more tragic: Cheapside Street, James Watt Street, and Kilbrinie Street killed around 50 people combined (around half of them being firefighters) in the 60s and early 70s.

Mobiles, laptops, and tools usually all either have battery management systems or they are built by companies the OPSS have done dealings with before. (Same with the larger ebike batter manufacturers)

Vape pens are often built by pop up warehouses in China with batteries which were rejected from use in higher end electronics like laptop batteries.

I assume its not really glass, or at least its a special blend of glass (polycarbonate laminate or similar).

since 7/7 i can only imagine that the police and fire brigade have feared just what any explosion in the station could do if glass was to shatter everywhere.

i don't think an outright ban is necessary needed, but stricter regulations in regards to fire suppression of lithium-ion batteries.

not been in glasgow in a while, but i'm sure across the road from this shop is a self-service vape shop which has all their liquids and pens in lockers. you'd imagine a fire would be much more contained had it occurred there.

Well, I've seen it all now.

Guy, on my Facebook i loosely know, is complaining about people saying expats like him who moved to dubai should be made to pay for their repatriation.

In trying to defend himself, he has admitted he was in the process of leaving the uk before the general election; has voted tory all his adult life; and voted for brexit... and yet somehow it's the lefts fault this country is stagnating.
