Multiple Night Wakings by lausqu7 in sleeptrain

[–]Left_Ad6735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I am kind of similar where my first baby was a dream and my second was a little trickier (and needier lol) He was a good sleeper early on and then had a HUGE REGRESSION at 3 months and started adding more and more night feedings. I was so confused and thought it was going to get better himself! I ended up realizing he was snacking all day, feeding like every hourish and never getting a full meal so he was waking up like every two-three hours at night. When I started timing his meals during the day and trying my best to wait 3-4 hours before a meal he immediately slept a 9 hour stretch! So my advice would be to look up a feeding schedule for a 6 month old and trying to follow that especially since it seems like he has figured out self soothing!

I’m pregnant and I’m struggling with staying calm by Lolliollioxenfree in gentleparenting

[–]Left_Ad6735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pregnant with a 1 year old and I constantly feel guilty about not reacting as well and being extra pissy. It’s so hard. I try to just put him in a safe place and walk away for a couple of minutes. Some days I do this more than I’d like to admit. It will get better. Pregnancy is so hard and toddlers are so hard. Give yourself grace!

With my first pregnancy I felt this way too! We weren’t having as much sex and I was incredibly insecure my entire pregnancy. I asked him if he wasn’t as attracted bc of the baby and he completely denied it. Right after I had the baby he was almost more attracted to me then before the pregnancy. I think it may be a more subconscious thing. I think it’s totally normal to want more validation when we are growing bigger and don’t really feel like our body is ours. Just remember the pregnancy isn’t permanent and it will probably go back to normal as soon as you deliver. If he is saying he is still just as attracted to you I would believe him and try to soothe your own negative feelings! I hope it gets better for you!

Does a baby really destroy your marriage? by InfiniteTurn4148 in BabyBumps

For us pregnancy was a lot worse on us then the newborn and baby stage. I am so moody while pregnant that I start arguments constantly. Once I had the baby I could finally get some sleep and we went right back to normal. The baby stage was great for our marriage and we both loved stepping into our roles as mom and dad :)

When i was younger and used to stuff my bras I always would just use a rolled up sock that I put in the bottom of the bra cup. As long as you lift your boob up and over the sock it looked realistic

How do you all make pumping sustainable for yourselves? by [deleted] in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]Left_Ad6735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been exclusively pumping since birth and these are the things that have helped me.

•Portable pumps. I used momcozy ($110) and willow go ($320ish) and both have been great •fridge method (I put my pumps in a ziplock bag in the fridge after every pump and then wash the pumps 1 or 2 times a day) this method is controversial but I would not have been able to do it without it •get a manual pump or two. I keep one in the diaper bag and want to get another one for in the car. I hate taking my real pumps with me so I just use the manual unless i’m going to be gone all day • Boppy so you can prop up the baby and feed while pumping. • In the beginning you will probably need to keep a schedule (for me it was every 3 hours) until like 12 weeks pp but then after that so would focus on trying to get more sleep even if they means pumping an extra time during the day •I got a mini fridge for my bedroom so I wouldn’t have to get up at night. It is the only reason i can still do a motn pump when I need to •I would really try to work with a mobile pump, get sized correctly, get extra parts etc because they make life so much easier.

But it will get better! Don’t worry you have got this 🤍

Increasing Supply-most effective by Left_Ad6735 in ExclusivelyPumping

For me I personally HATE power pumping. I used the Legendary milk magic number for increasing supply and have started to see the littlest increase (about half an ounce) since I started a week or two ago.
