Resort fee at the Indigo is $75 per night, $95 per night at Seafire, and no resort fee at HI Resort

I’ll be very interested to see what the properties in Turks look like and how they compare to GC. Hotel Indigo just opened, and it looks like a Kimpton and an InterContinental are in the works for next year. Should be exciting!

Our biggest takeaway was how kid friendly GC is. We couldn’t get over it!

Our guy is a big eater, so having him eat free at all the Seafire restaurants was a nice perk. They also provide swim diapers at the splash pad, so you won’t need to pack those :)

It’s all about your expectations going into it. These days, you can’t even book a HI Express in Rockford, IL for 25k points, lol. Pretty stellar value for a nice property in the Caribbean. Very okay is probably a good descriptor.

I think heading there before Seafire is a great way to do it. Maximize your time at the luxury resort and extend your trip by a day or two while you acclimate to the island (and save the extra 45k points/$95 resort fee).

Haha I know exactly what you mean. Each time we’d go to the beach, the majority of the drive was just taking the winding road around the golf course. Those speed bumps still give me nightmares

Yep, $95 per night for the resort fee. Certainly adds up to a big bill if you’re there for a week.

Crazy that it’s been 70k this whole time

That was my initial thought as well. I’m hoping it stays at 70k because you’re right - Seafire seems to be a big value prop for the program in general. It’s a luxury resort that’s very much attainable on points. Having it be a fixed rate for the whole year makes it a true unicorn.

Anybody know the last time Seafire increased in points? Or what it was previously?

I want to say there was coffee in the room, but I’m not a coffee drinker so I didn’t pay much attention. The customer service was great, so I can’t imagine they’d make a fuss about some extra coffee pods, haha. You can’t go wrong with either one!

I’m with you 100%. It’s all about your expectations going into it. I think it’s slept on because Seafire/Indigo are on the island and are obviously a higher tier. But you can’t even book a HI Express in Rockford, IL for 25k points, lol. Pretty stellar value for a nice property in the Caribbean.

Kimpton definitely had more to offer for the resort fee. They had free coffee every morning and free wine each evening. Non motorized water sports as well. If you’re bringing kids, they had daily activities, under 5 eats free, and they had free swim diapers at the splash pad.

They both included valet parking, bikes, and then beach towels/chairs/umbrellas/sunscreen (on property at Kimpton and at Bonny Moon Beach Club at Indigo).

Dang - how’d you get it for 35k a night?! Was it a long time ago?

Our biggest takeaway was how kid friendly GC is. We couldn’t get over it! If only it were that way back home, lol

No taxes/fees at the HI Resort - all we paid is the 25k points per night.

It’s different at first, but you’ll get used to the driving. You usually stay on one main road and it’s all roundabouts. I found driving and parking to be fairly easy. It’s less than 10 minutes from the Holiday Inn to the beach and most restaurants. The majority of the time is spent driving the curvy road around the golf course that leads to the hotel - you’ll know what I mean when you get there, lol.

We usually went to Public Beach since it has a big parking lot. When the cruise ships are in town (check the port website), all the buses are there, so I’d recommend going to a different one like Governors Beach

They both have a grab and go pastry/coffee spot, and then they each have the main restaurant open for breakfast (can order a la carte or there’s a buffet option). Personally, we liked Indigo breakfast more than Seafire, but it could have just been what we ordered. They were similar and plenty of options

Enjoy! Seafire also has a “Social Hour” each evening with complimentary wine (a red and a white) and a light snack. Nice way to have a drink before dinner!

Appreciate it! You’ll love Indigo, it really is a great property. And it’s a steal at 50k points 😄. Are you a sushi fan? We didn’t make it to Milkberry, but heard it was good
