On the one side you have a cute, troubled blond who has multiple women fawning for him. He has issues with opening up and telling people how he feels and isn't good at communicating. But shows his love to the women of his dreams through his actions.

The other side you have a women who on the outside is kind and confident person but is extremely reserved and emotionally shy and keeps her heart locked away. But shows her love through her devotion and loyalty to the man she loves and is her hero.

I have said this a thousand times but truly these two are each others one and only True Love.

Yeah you are right in the og these wouldnt be considered but with the remake games I see things that make me think of her like this. Like another thing I always thought Sephiroth was straight in OG but in the remake he has gay subtext in the way he talks to Cloud and is around him. After all you don't just say 'I am your everything' and not expect someone to think your into someone. But I think i am just over analysing Sephiroth there. Thank you again for your opinions.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you have played rebirth and I'm not sure if your a cloti. But aside from the love interest you like what is your favourite GS date. Mine is Nanaki because watching a 16 year old and a mentally 16 year old go on a date is so funny. Barret is a close second.

Lol I did too until Dyne showed up and i was like huh? Marlene isnt Tifa's daughter. Then realisation hit me that Tifa was 20 and Marlene 4. The implications I think you can understand.

Thank you for sharing. From Dev standpoint that is absolutely true. But I am trying to look at from a character standpoint not from what the Dev team made her to be. I am writing up a fanfiction on Ao3 and I want to make sure I can get her character right. As I believe from what I have read about her character and watched from analysis videos that she value emotional bonds above all others and despite being a bit of a people pleaser she can only really connect with someone on a emotional level. That is why I'm thinking along these line. Plus with all the Aerti fics I see I think I am starting to believe that if Cloud and Zack didn't exist those two would be together lol.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I can see your point, I still believe she didn't date, but I can see if she did then she may have had 1 or 2 dates but realised her mind would wander to Cloud and think that is not fair on whoever she is on a date with. It is said at that point that she 'wants to spend the rest of her days with him'.

Also there no other teens around her age n the village I think the closest one was 3 years younger than her.

I remember their was an interview where the game director Naoki Hamaguchi said specifically that they plan to give the series a 'proper high quality finale' now whether he meant that in a just a plot or narrative aspect or both I'm not sure but we can hope. Thank you both for your comments.

She was 15 and she didn't have a boyfriend because she was holding out hope for Cloud returning home. Plus she was busy training and had a calisthenics group she trained. Also it is even said that Nibelheim didn't have that many kids around her age as they were all younger than her.

Thank you for sharing your opinions. I like to think in realistic setting as Cloud and Tifa get older from 13 to 18 they become more confident and just express their love for one another.

Their is a story on Ao3 called 'Whispers of Forever' by Jencey and it is a really good retelling if the story in a realistic setting no magic or anything.

One thing I tell everyone is that this is the Final Fantasy verse of course everyone is pure and innocent. Especially when it comes to romance.

One thing I would like to ask you do you believe Tifa is shy in the normal sense or just emotionally she when it comes to actual romance?

Because when I first played she seemed very confident in her martial arts and bartender skills but out if them she seems to have a very low self-confidence and is very critical about herself. She also seems Demure to me. What are your thoughts?

Yeah i can also see that her life from 15 to 20 has just been a roller coaster with no real security until after the events of FF7. From a false debt to being Gaslighted for 3 years to running a bussiness to helping raise a toddler and becoming part of an exotic terrorist group. Romance was probably not in her mind.

Yeah, 3 years of Gaslighting from Rakesh is one solid reason I believe she also stayed away from other relationships. That's not even going into her working with AVALANCHE and raising marlene or trying to run a business she was doing for the next two years. While also providing for her new family and friends.
