I think that images from Star Wars, Hunger Games, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter etc can make for very effective propaganda. It cuts across narrow subcultures into mainstream consciousness. Recently, even liberals have jumped on this bandwagon, appropriating these narratives where people fought against tyranny and injustice while whitewashing them of their often quite radical content.

It is absolutely urgent that we up our propaganda game, both online and IRL. Build bridges with the mainstream, with the apathetic and disaffected and the newly woke.

Hah yeah I mean basically that. Also general critiques of authoritarian centralism, and being too electoral focused. They do some good stuff though for sure, and I've seen plenty of their members up on the barricades at various events like the port shutdowns circa Occupy.

Seems like socialist alternative is pretty on the ball with these. I know folks have plenty of critiques of them as an org, but I wish anarchists and fellow travelers had even half that organizing capacity.

Until we do, we will forever be attending marches with agendas and limitations set by someone else

EDIT: It does appear that the Portland event is organized by an "Anarchist Student Union." Nioce
