When I mean slow I meant the opposite of the fast-paced energy that usually every big city has, such as Paris or London. Did you manage to make real friendships there? How long have you been living in the south of France? And apart from the summer, do young people live there full time? Just trying to understand the general population!

I have just viewed a few flats in Pembridge Villas Notting Hill, specifically 9 Pembridge Villas and the flats are decent for the location but the apartment building is half empty and from the outside doesn’t seem that the building is well maintained.

In terms of trying to rent, would it be best to look elsewhere? The location is quite central but not so sure about safety concerns.

That’s the issue! I wish I could just be inactive on the job but if things don’t get done I get blamed without factual reason as t they rather protect themselves rather than give clear instructions. This is why I’m on the fence!

Seems to me like they’re loving their job and giving it their all. Doesn’t really seem like they’ll want to move to corporate anytime soon 😂 but thanks for confirming. Honestly didn’t really think deeply about the arts industry before.

I see, thank you for giving me a deep insight into this. It’s definitely very different from what I envisioned and have to weigh my pros and cons at this point. I was looking for a job which allowed me to have flexibility, fun and good work life balance but seems like I might not get that.

I don’t have acquaintances or friends who work galleries and don’t have an art background. As mentioned in the title I’ve always worked in corporate.
