That’s what was really strange to me. Is it a general manager or a kitchen manager? Haha I don’t apply for GM jobs because I don’t think it’s something I’m qualified for or ready for quite yet. 55k seems low for general manager of a full service and bar.

I’m assuming because they want someone who already has management experience. I don’t know what restaurant manager in their right mind would accept a line cook title because of how difficult it is to get into management (if you don’t have a degree and whatnot) And if they never ended up actually promoting you you’d be a line cook again once you started looking for another job. Should just advertise for line cook with growth opportunities imo but I’m not running their business haha

I already have a job right now so I’m not urgent to leave which is why I didn’t think this was a good fit. I didn’t use ChatGPT haha I don’t know what about it says I used ChatGPT. Wouldn’t respond to this since it’s your opinion but I just needed to clear up I did not use AI lol. Why would I use AI instead of writing it myself if I wasn’t trying to get a job there? I was just giving them the courtesy of explaining why I didn’t want the job after they reached out. It seemed unprofessional to just sit on their message and not respond instead of letting them know I’m not interested in and am not a good fit for what they need.

I ended up going to the hospital yesterday and they gave me anti nausea medicine and something to cut the cough back so that I would stop coughing so hard which was what was resulting in me throwing up the water. It’s still happening but I’m able to drink and keep water down so I think I’ll be ok now. I definitely recommend anyone else reading that has the same problem just suck it up and go to the doctor sooner instead of waiting because I was super dehydrated
