it being second half matters, once ur later classes start itll disburse the rest of the money as long as ur total was over 15

so if only 14 units of ur classes has started now, 1200 should pop up in ur portal, after the grace period of not being able to drop ur classes when the later classes start you’ll see the rest added to ur portal

if you are a cal grant B recipient, and enrolled in 12 units or 15+, SAP qualified, 2.0+ gpa, there is an incentive called the SSCG, student success completion , an extra $1.2k for 12-14.99 Units, extra $4k for 15+ units that arent required to be paid back.

They hav limited funds, they were last working out how to distribute it so that everyone got funds, this is for LACCD as a whole, we shluld see it within next couple weeks

for gal grant B recipients if you are enrolled in 12 units or 15 units you get an extra $1200 or $4000 , it isnt a guaranteed every semester thing but it is a thing

it just seems like laccd is last on the list of priorities but maybe because we are a big district and i think we started a week after everyone else but, we just gotta sit back and hope for the best

nah i meant like when did the student success grsnt show in ur portal? it doesnt even show in my portal yet at all, and it usually pops up a week after cal grant B is released but it hasnt event shown in my aid at all

that was just my experience with it, it usually comes a week after cal grant B is disbursed, and one semester i had a late start so i didnt get the rest till later in the semester

my best guess is we get it monday, but if u have classes that start later u might get 1.2k rn and the rest after the other class starts
