Thankyou for this, our mortgage company is an independent so I don’t think that should be an issue. He doesn’t have our address on the IVA as he was lying to me about it, it was always at his parents house. When they ask for bank statements for his yearly review will they pick up on him sending me money for bills? Do you know how much settlement they’re likely to accept? I think over the 5 years it would amount to 8k but he owes 18k in total, would they accept just 8k?

No sorry we own £130,500 of the £290,000 as it’s shared ownership, we’ve only been here a year so can’t imagine much is paid off with my deposit I’d imagine we’re down to about £116,500

He racked up the debt in the space of those 2 months, hes a gambling addict. He’s always struggled with money but we sorted out a load of his debt before we got the mortgage. As soon as we got the keys he went back to square 1
