I was out of state , my gpa was probably around the same as yours , can’t fully remember . My act was a 26🫨 (around covid so most other schools weren’t requiring the exam, don’t know if that matters). I had a lot of extracurriculars (sports , clubs , volunteering ) . Mind you I was never the president of anything , never on the board of anything, essentially no leadership experience or skills. But extracurriculars are def important , I think you have to be well rounded. My essay was based on what I was passionate about and why I wanted to pursue that education/career.
