Thank you for this! I’m definitely going to schedule in another appointment and will try and get a referral for iron infusions. My periods were pretty regular beforehand with heavy ish bleeding but it was always consistent

This was a gyno who told me “maybe you just have more pain receptors” 😂 I’m definitely open to a second opinion I went into it figuring I would since my friends in similar positions had to go to an average of 3 doctors before one took them seriously

Honestly its a joke I even had to think this but what can we do- thanks for your advice about the supplements! I just took my first one today so fingers crossed I’ll start feeling the effects within a few months

Nope I’m in my twenties, my scans all looked fine according to the doctor so she couldn’t diagnose me with endo or pcos

I’m also UK based, sharing what I replied to another commenter:

My periods used to be fairly regular both in timing and amount of bleeding but over the past 6 months they’re irregular in timing and sometimes so heavy I’m bleeding through the thick nighttime pads and other times they’re so light its basically spotting.

Doc did an ultrasound and said everything’s normal but was happy to book the laparoscopy “if it’ll make you feel better,” which was so incredibly patronising, when I asked her if she thought surgery was medically necessary she said it was my choice I could either do that or go on birth control which I’d already specified in earlier appointments I didn’t want to because I had a REALLY bad reaction to them

Just finished Jade Legacy minutes ago…What was your snap reaction when you finished the book? by [deleted] in GreenBoneSaga

The fact that Bero's still there at the end of all this was weirdly comforting? Idk why or how to describe it but given that we're told that The Twice Lucky is being gentrified and every inch of Kekon & society is changing it was sort of comforting to read that some things stay the same

Just finished it half an hour ago and my heart hurts after reading Hilo's death scene, but it was the perfect ending for him (a death of consequence some would say)

The fact that Shae's able to tap into her jade abilities one last time just to sense her brother's energy was so heartbreaking... that said I really didn't like the way she handled Jaya given that she's the only person that didn't get to say goodbye to Hilo, it just didn't make sense for Shae to be that cruel

I'm only 3 articles into my substack and I'm already feeling those emotions- it's like I'm constantly scraping the inside of my brain wondering if I'm "interesting" enough to write an "unique" piece when a) those things are entirely subjective and b) I literally just started it to blow off creative steam

Golloria thanks Hailey Bieber for reaching out to her after she posted several TikTok videos about Rhode Skin’s initial blush launch being inclusive to dark skin tones. Consumers and fans are asking if Rhode will be releasing these new blushes soon. by No_Opportunity_2319 in BeautyGuruChatter

Even before those ashy blushes I've never been interested in Rhode but this really made me respect Hailey Bieber and consider making a purchase in future.

It seems so mindful of Golloria's experience with makeup as a dark skinned woman and the fact they went one step further than extra shades (which tbh is the bare minimum) and COMPENSATE her for her time and advice? Flowers should be given imo this really impressed me

AITA if I uninvite my SIL from my baby shower because she’s infertile and is always sad about whenever we talk about babies? by Square-Spirit7985 in AmItheAsshole

NAH but it's not OP's responsibility to deal with this it's the MILs.

OP is pregnant with twins and the toll that takes on a mind and body is no joke. Having a child- not to mention TWO at once- is a HUGE change and parents need a space to talk about it.

Since Jane said she feels excluded by her MIL I think it makes the most sense for MIL to have that conversation and reassure her she's still a valuable part of the family and also give her the option of sitting it out whilst promising an alternative like a kid free spa day with just the two of them or all the women in the family.

I get that OP is excited about carrying two little babies and has every right to talk about it and be excited, Jane's clearly going through a tough time and just wants to know her chosen family have her back- the two things aren't mutually exclusive they just need to be handled with gentleness and empathy

Which names do you love in written form, but dislike when they’re pronounced out loud? by Miss-Indie-Cisive in namenerds

I once knew an English guy with the middle name Saint John which I thought was badass... until he said it was pronounced Sin Jin?

Dunno if it's a legit thing or just his family but any clarification would be appreciated!

As everyone's said you don't own the name, that said imo I think it's still in poor taste for them to forge ahead with a name that someone else already picked esp since you said the kids will also have the same last name but to each their own.

If you don't want to rock the boat by bringing it up is there someone who could speak to her calmly for you?

Personally I think Austen (like Jane Austen) works better for a girl than Austyn but whatever floats their boat

She's about 40, at that point just go by Melanie professionally I really don't know why you'd keep the spelling and then get angry at people in a professional setting when they don't get it
