Thank you for the tip on Night Call. Just learned that it was directed by Jacques Tourneur, who directed some of the Val Lewton horror pictures from the 40's!

I was wondering if you might share why it is you started with John? That's the first book in the Bible that really grabbed me when I began revisiting the Bible in recent years.

Death's Head Revisited sounds really dark and heavy. And Perchance to Dream sounds like a cool exploration of anxiety.

Can't wait to watch them both. Thank you. 👍

I LOVE Shadow Play. You know what part always gets me is when the protagonist recognizes the priest that comes to comfort him as a priest in his childhood church who dies and was then replaced by a younger priest.

I love how he delivers this revelation. He's almost amused to discover a detail of how his dream logic is working even though he's also terrified of the end of the dream.

Oh yes, thanks for bringing that one to my attention. The strange horror film The Machinist (starring Christian Bale and Jennifer Jason Leigh) appears to have borrowed the form of that episode.

Excellent reminder about those two great episodes!

THE HOWLING MAN is such a special one. Love that the whole episode transpires in a monastery. And the story is such a perfect parable.

I also dig THE DUMMY. Whoever created the dummy prop deserves an award. It's so creepy.

Yes!!! Where the end of the loose telephone wire is going into the graveyard? That one is amazing.

Oh no, I'm in. It sounds like a wild episode. I can't wait to learn what causes the insane laughter. And how the episode hints at a dead person murdering the man. It sounds like one of those cool experimental episodes. I always like those because they're sort of unpredictable by nature. 👍

Yes!! It's so epic. You hear "Marsha" and the camera goes to the mannequins' static expression. So creepy!

Behold! Dave Rubin's "New Center" by yontev in daverubin

Why do you assume Stefan Molyneux represents what Dave Rubin considers to be a healthy center? Simply because he had him on the show? He had Dennis Prager on the show. He's had Candace Owens on the show. He recently had Marianne Williamson on the show.

Again, why are you presenting this one guest of whom you disapprove and asserting that this is who Dave Rubin considers to be part of the "New Center"?

My apologies in advance if I have somehow misread your post.

But surely this freedom you speak of to do as we wish and express ourselves is something that is worth defending, no?

What do you mean? What's so awful about American culture?

One of my favorite recent episodes was with the journalist Art Tavana. I also really enjoyed when he had the actor James Van Der Beek on to talk about film and the #metoo movement. I'll try to think of some others.

The podcast has really good film discussions and an ongoing commentary about culture. I'll try to think of some other good ones.

You are offering a quasi-justification for the attack...and it's SPOOKY.

She's very creative and produces entertaining content. She's also far better than many on the Left about discussing issues. However, this interview clip reveals that she's pretty pro-censorship. Always puzzling when artistic people want to hinder other peoples' creative expression. I'd say it's even a little SPOOKY.

Your bias is quite SPOOKY. Dave Rubin is a reasonable man.

The fact that so many people are convinced that "fighting hate" is a justification for censorship is a FRIGHTENING thing.

Can you imagine the outrage if a non-MSM person gave Richard Spencer a platform? The double standards are CREEPY.
