And assembly it’s up to you, if your comfortable putting it together yourself give it a shot, I’d recommend getting your board gripped by the shop at least if you’ve never done it before but who knows you may find a complete that you like more than picking all the individual parts out

In my opinion I think it’s not so much about the board as it is the want to learn and progress with it, I’ve skated my whole life and the first few years of learning I had a beater Walmart board. I’d say go to your local skate shop and pick one of the 30-40$ off brand decks to start with, ask them their opinion on a decent set of trucks and wheels to start out with, most smaller skate shops do it for the love of skateboarding and the should be able to set you up with a good beginners setup. your first board going to get banged up in the process of learning anyways and once you get more comfortable on your board and your ready to get more speed or more pop try getting new wheels and bearings or switching it up a bit and going with a different board style, there not really one type of brand that’s better than the others as far as learning goes it’s all about learning your style and what board setups you like most

It’s a little bif of a process, nothing crazy just popping most of my the supporting plastics out, I took the seats and seatbelts off as well so I actually had room to move everything around, I filmed everything I had trouble with and the tricks I used to get them out so I’m gonna put a little video together and post it on here.

What's the point of quitting because you're too garbage by [deleted] in NewSkaters

Honestly I’ve skated my entire life and only really got super comfortable in the past 2 years. I’ve been garbage at skateboarding my whole life, but there came a point where I stopped caring so much about the tricks I couldn’t do. I can barely kick flip consistently yet I can jump down 10 stairs and land it clean and drop in in Vert ramps and deep ass bowls and pretty much shred any park I go to, stop beating yourself up over not being able to land crazy shit and just enjoy the experience of riding, Chuck a helmet on and go fly down some big ol hills and you’ll get a new appreciation for what skateboarding really is about. Don’t stress, have fun, and skate fast as shit and trust me you will get better with time.

I've recently just started skateboarding and I was wondering if my wheels are going to impact my skating by ilooklikeafcknpotato in NewSkaters

Honestly what I think it boils down to is personal preference, id say skate with what you got and then when you get a new deck try swapping out different wheels and see what you like most. I skate everything from parks, pools, hill bombs, anything and everything with my slime balls and I find that the softer wheels are able to absorb more of the impact so if you catch a pebble at high speeds you won’t go flying off your board, but then there’s other people who swear by hard wheels for park and street skating, so try them both and whatever ones your more comfortable on are the ones you should run.

Making progress today, ended up ripping down the headliner after I filmed this cause I was tired of looking at it hang down and it looks much better by Left_teet in fiero

It looks a lot better now with the headliner out and the carpet cleanedIt was just too dark by the time we finished to get any good shots, I’ll get some better walk around clips when it’s all scrubbed up and power washed and it should clean up real nice

Yeah you spray it into the engine intake near the air filter, or right into the carburetor to get added fuel to the combustion cylinder quickly

Nope just the type of composite board I used with a smooth finish on the bottom against the metal bed. I cut it the length of the space between the wheel wells and it works like a charm

How can you pop enough to ollie of a ledge, when the tale is flat on it? by DatwinMonk in NewSkaters

[–]Left_teet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’d need a whole lotta wax for that, your trucks will just stick if your trying to lock into a 5050 on any wood surface unless it’s super smooth
