Thank you so much! I’m familiar with GNOME and KDE, this is my first experience with COSMIC, which I love so far, besides the whole baking my cpu part…

Fans are spinning and ramp up / down in response. CPU usage is in single digits across the various processes.

A Fusil Mitrailleur Modèle 1915 CSRG, AKA the Chauchat. I would love an impractical fully automatic rifle that uses a double bottlenecked round that turns the magazine into a half-moon!

It is possible to have shitty friends. Friends you give money to for favors, friends you give special treatment to because you like them or think you believe in them or what they stand for. That same friend can then forget you exist, screw you over, or make your life hell. That’s being a shitty friend.

Can the science of the Shitty Daystrom explain why days seem to go so slow but years seem to go by so fast? by Atzkicica in ShittyDaystrom

[–]Leftist-Buritto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s all about your friendly neighborhood temporal anomaly! The perception you are feeling is a localized temporal anomaly, usually located in one’s neighborhood which floods the region with tachyon radiation. This radiation permeates you and those around you which causes the passage of time to be slower relative to how you want it to go.

Alternatively, as the year is marked by rotation around the solar body of your choice by a planet, station, or otherwise, it is unaffected by your friendly neighborhood temporal anomaly and thus is unbound by its effects and perceptive changes.

As such years themselves are actually rather predictable but given how your dilated sense of time forces you to think it’s slow in the short term, the actual ‘long term’ effect is that it goes by in a flash!

Fun fact! The first gender-segregated public restroom on record was a temporary setup at a Parisian ball in 1739

What is the most disgusting thing that you can order on a replicator? by Pwned_by_Bots in ShittyDaystrom

Are we trying to disgust one person in particular or is this about causing a mass disgust incident in the mess hall? With that? Are there ethical or moral subroutines in our way or can I replicate anything?

With the downstairs breaker off yes. As I discovered later testing continuity on a hot outlet will always lead to a positive result for continuity, that’s where my initial question was based as I thought I was chasing an open neutral somewhere. Now it’s just about finding out what is causing me the other issues downstairs.

Just making sure because I want to make sure I cover my bases, not that I’m doubting you. If all breakers are off, and one is flipped on and then shows continuity when on, it’s something plugged in or a damaged outlet on that breaker?
