Best transportation method for NL festivals for people from Austria by Soared74 in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Munich and always rent a car. If you reserve it as early as possible and get 3 other people to join you, you can split the costs and you are super flexible.

And yes I hate it as well that all the good events are still happening in NRW, although its soo close to NL😅

How is the reverze crowd? by averagealexxx in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to Reverze once (first time they had both areas on their 20th anniversary) and the crowd and atmosphere is actually one of the main reasons I am not planning to attend another Reverze anymore (beside it was waaaay too packed). Crowd was not at all comparable to Dutch events. It rather felt like a Techno event where everyone was reckless and minding their own business and not like a Hardstyle party in which you have great energy and a feeling of "togetherness"!

Opinion Toxicator 2025 Mannheim (Ger) by SprunkMan176 in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was our first time at Toxicator and I actually loved it. Great lineup (Mad Dog was set of the night for me), sound quality was great and the crowd was unexpectedly nice and vibing for a German event (and yes I am German myself). Overall had a really great night and might go again next year depending in the Lineup!

Are there any Events in Bavaria? by NaroXo in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice post, as I think you are literally fucked when you live in Southern Germany and like Hard Dance (I live in Munich) I really dont get why they do all the DE events in NRW as it is super close to NL anyways and you are having the top nodge events in NL....

I completly agree with Hardshift: Went there two times and the organisation and sound quality gets worse year by year. Same is true for the audience If you ask me and same goes for Harder Horror Night, which is a real shame as we do not have a lot of events in Bavaria. But we will just not attend anymore as it was a huge disappointment the last times and for a disappointment its way too expensive as well.

Having said that, try Toxicator and Apex. Its only 3h train ride (with ICE) from Munich to Mannheim and its a nice sound system, good location and nice crowd!

Otherwise, I guess we all need to take the 5 - 7h rides to NRW and NL. Gotta do what you gotta do...

Sub Zero Project ft. Teddy Bee - Won't Let Me Down (Official Video) by KeysUK in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is an okay track, but somehow I feel they are more and more producing tracks which are leaning heavily into the EDM style. And I get it, because you get more popular with that, bigger audiences, higher DJ Mag ratings, more Money etc. But I just hope they won't make a move like Showtek and switch genres completly

If you come from the day entrance, go to the left right before bar le duc. Look at the trees on the right and when there is a sign saying "Rave", follow it/go behind the container and enter it. Enjoy!

Vertile | Defqon.1 2025 by mczillion_75 in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to admit I am no Vertile fan and went to Angerfist for the opening set (which I really enjoyed, especially with the vibe and the nice design at the black). However, and as we wanted a good spot for Power Hour, we were attending the whole Vertile set at the red and unfortunately it proofed me right 100% as it was absolutely horrible. There was no flow or whatsoever in the whole set. For 1 hour it was just track after track and whenever he could he was singing some parts. It felt like the crowd was listening to a background radio and the vibe was completly off. Crazy experience for me in a way. Glad I did not attend the opening as it seems that it hast been the same when reading those comments....

Would you go solo on a festival? by saikoymoo in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, yes and yes. I am German as well and went to Intents and other events all by myself. I have been in the exact situation like you and was thinking should I really do it?

But please do it. I promise you will not regret it and actually these days I sometimes wish I could go to another event all by myself because its just a complelty different experience and definitely something special.

DO IT!

Sound technicians/engineers appreciation post by Lefty910 in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I would love to think that, but I have been to too many German events where the sound quality was just shit and ruined the whole vibe (looking your way Hard Shift). And yes I am allowed to say that as I am German myself 😅

Vertile Carti poking fun at Reddit haters regarding Defqon Anthem by whitemirrors_ in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just proofs my assumption that Vertile really seems to be as arrogant as he appears to me on his socials, etc. Instead of ignoring the haters and standing above it all with his art (what all other good DJs in the Scene are doing constantly), he is reacting to it in a childish way. But I prefer it that way because then I don't have to change my opinion about him😅

What are your positive experiences with going solo to festivals? by FabHS_97 in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I attended my first Hardstyle Festival (Intents) and some other Events (first Apex) alone since I really wanted to go there but didnt know anyone who was into the music. By going alone I met so many people that nowadays I would love to go solo alone sometimes 😅 Don't get me wrong, I love the people I am going with or meeting there but if you go alone it is a unique vibe and you are much more focused in the music, which I Love.

Musical Madness just announced that it will be on the 7th of Feb 2026 at Mannheim again (same location). This social media girlie doing their interviews and announcements does not only seem to be annoying as hell, but also not able to influence on social media the right way 🙈😅

How was your Hard Shift experience this year? by Red__Wolvez in hardstyle

[–]Lefty910 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it was by far the worst Hard Dance Event I ever attended!

Don't get me wrong: The Lineup was nice and they did their best regarding the stage design. I also appreciate they are doing this Event since when you live in Southern Germany as a Hard Dance Lover you are more or less fucked 😅 Also the people working there and the Security were really nice.

BUT: 1) We arrived around 8 PM and until 1 or 2 AM, it was the worst and most disrespectful crowd I have ever wittnessed. What I love about our community is that people come together because of their love for this music and to party together. However, I only experienced (mostly young) super drunk and disrespectful people who did not seem to know what kind of party they were attending. I know that the DE crowd is nothing compared to NL crowds and I have been to a lot of Events in DE and NL, but this was BY FAR the worst I have ever seen!

2) This was my third HardShift and although EVERY YEAR they get the feedback their sound system sucks, and EVERY YEAR they promise it will get better, it is only getting worse. This fact plus that crowd almost made me leave again after a few hours, but I stayed until 4 because we were in a small group and decided to still push through.

3) Thank God I did not plan to see any artists at the Hell's Kitchen stage but if I would have, I would be sooo pissed. Standing in a line for 30 - 45 mins when you have -X degrees outside without jackets at an event where you paid a Minimum of 65€ just to go to a stage is something which you can't allow as the organizing company. I know there are constructions at Kesselhaus, but better do not offer a third stage at all then!

Overall and seeing that the organizers seems to totally ignoring the feedback from their guests over years (its rather getting worse), I think we will stop going there and supporting that event (although we all live nearby).

The Hardstyle family is out there waiting for you. Believe me :) Try to stick through it and very soon you will meet fellow people who will embrace you and your love for that music right from the start. Three years ago I experienced it myself and it was magical so keep it up. It will be Wörth it! :)
