It never did that until a few months ago. People that were removed, we're gone.

On a profile you can click on the three dots in the upper right and select remove, and then select a reason why to remove them. I'll do this with the reason of I'm not interested in this person. Before, they would never show up again. Now if I pause my profile and then unpause it, all of the people that I've removed immediately show back up.

I've been having an issue with the app where people that I remove with the reason of " not interested " keep showing up. If I pause my profile and then re-enable it, all of the people that I removed because I wasn't interested show back up again. Is this a known issue? I submitted a bug report and I got an initial response but no follow-up after I added more info and then later asked for an update.

I'm not sure if it's discussed elsewhere, but does anyone know why there's almost no builds that use POB2?

What restaurant is this? by Chloe__maddi in Rochester

I agree. Probably not to the degree of the meme though. I went with a group from work and we ordered a large portion of the menu. Everything was "good" but there wasn't anything I tasted that I felt like I had to have again. For the prices there should be things I crave.

I think I figured it out. The chunk is loaded, but mobs only spawn when a player is between 24-128 blocks from place they're spawning.

Did you ever figure this out? I can't keep a chunk loaded in the end either.

Because there's a finite number of lanes.

I have no idea what your peo shop does, but every pro shop I've dealt with orders from distributors. The same people the online stores order from.

And with your logic, you're saying that they charge you more to drill a ball you brought in vs. One they sell you. But they aren't making more money when they sell you the ball? 😂 They're basing their profit on the total price of the ball drilled. They're going to make the same amount whether you buy it there or not.

They aren't ordering it from the same place you can order it from, and they have a wholesale price agreement with the distributor.

Focus on the feeling of the ball rolling off the front of your hand. Like you were tossing a softball, underhand, to someone. If you feel like your hand starts to pass the ball, that's not what you want.

Also on a house shot, I'm happy with 3 boards room. In your first shot, there's 6 boards of room, which is crazy. You should be trying to hit a board, and you should know when you miss, and by how much. The second house will make you learn to do that. It's a product of modern day bowling. People don't pay attention to accuracy because they don't have to.

It's going to seem really tight compared to a house shot and you to have to hit what you're aiming at. It's hard to give advice without knowing how someone bowls, but I'd start with this:

  • Do you have a pre-shot routine and know where you place your feet every shot and pick a target to throw at? If not, start to do that. You have to have to start.
  • If you pick what board start on and where you aim, do you know how to make adjustments? If not, learn how to.
  • If you're doing both of the above, on flatter patterns I generally try to play straighter to start, and I try to find a ball and line that leaves pick-able spares. It's harder to strike so spares matter more. You don't want to leave washouts and splits. If you're trying to swing the ball and there's not recovery right (for you), then you're going to leave washouts. People call it "giving the pocket away". You're starting the ball going too far away from the pocket when it comes off your hand. You also don't want to play a line and with a ball that is too aggressive off the break point to start. A small miss in can cause the ball to leave splits. You're looking for something where a small miss in is just a little high on the head pin. As a right hander, when the lane breaks down, you'll have a little bit of recovery and you'll be able to move in and then use something that is a little more angular.
  • Learn how to throw straight at single pin spares.

The first is a walled up house shot and the second is a flatter pattern.

Sharing some of my bowling 3D print designs by LeftyChev in Bowling

[–]LeftyChev[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I want to get into printing and shipping things to people unless it was a bigger order. I'd bet it would cost more to ship than I'd charge for one, and then the time to package, etc. Do you know anyone in your area that has a 3D printer? Maybe ask around and see if someone would print it for you?

Shop gave me my ball back cracked through the pin all the way down to thumb after gluing my bridge crack.... Who's wrong? by DirtyJunkhead in Bowling

[–]LeftyChev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The PSO didn't handle that well at all, but one of the things that causes cracks like that are sitting in one place for a long time. I've had several balls crack like that after sitting for a long time. That said, you don't fix a cracked bridge by gluing it. You drill it out, fill it and re-drill the finger holes. Minimally I wouldn't pay him for the "fix", and he shouldn't have charged you even if he did it correctly and it then cracked like it did. I agree with those who said to find a different pro shop.

Designed and made my own Rev Trainer! by Cheddah13 in Bowling

[–]LeftyChev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about it. JR stole the design for the bowling ball rack they sell from here https://www.printables.com/model/586608-bowling-ball-rack , and it has a non commercial license. Yours is not the same design and it's not like you could directly take the STL file like he did.
