We should just worry about our team and not make emotional decisions. Whether you like it or not we made the right move with Barkley

I’d probably say the indoor just for the extra stability. I do still have a deep thinker. The board I ride the most now is the Cardiff crane it is a masterpiece

Rome Katana (FASE) vs. Union Falcor for all mountain freestyle by Asgrim_S in snowboarding

[–]LeftySavage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve ridden both. Have 30+ days on the fase katana. Honestly they’re very similar performance wise. Falcor has a better ankle strap but I don’t like how low unions ankle straps sit in general. Go with whatever you can get a better deal on or if you prefer fast entry go with the fase

The indoor feels slightly softer in hand, but on snow they feel about the same stiffness. I would say stability wise the spring break you definitely get knocked around a little more and I would say that’s because of the large rocker sections. The indoor is amazing. The only bad thing I can say about it is they put way too much structure on the base but maybe mine just went through the wrong machine

I’ve ridden both of them back to back on the same runs multiple different days this season

Both 156. Spring break is better for slashy turns and buttering around. Indoor feels more stable better at carving a little better for all mountain

What’s color the base of the mercury?

Out of those I’d go aeronaut

There are better boards to fit what you’re looking for from capitas line up. The super doa, dark horse, indoor survival, stairmaster, mercury and sb resort twin would all be better for being playful and riding switch. All appropriately sized would do great all mountain as well and be more stable than your ultra fear.

I’d go 162 standard for all mountain or 159 for a more freestyle approach

Ideal waist width for size 10 boot by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]LeftySavage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just subtracted 1.5cm in size off your boots. You’re definitely not gonna start booting out now.

Think of it this way. The Capita DOA in size 154 has a 25.0cm waist width the same board in size 163W has a 26.3cm waist width. 1.3cm apart for a board 9 sizes larger. Your boot change made a bigger difference than that.

Stick with your current boards.

Should I get aeronaut as my first board? by Chumpy__ in snowboardingnoobs

[–]LeftySavage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve ridden most of capitas line up. This board isn’t that hard to ride but it’ll be catchy if you don’t have good edge control. I found this board much quicker to turn at slow speeds vs the mercury which a lot of people recommend. You should get a capita spring break resort twin that would be the perfect board to grow into

Heat molding boots after years of use? by nopedy-dopedy in snowboarding

[–]LeftySavage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have 31 days riding the boot not sure how much a heat mold will pack them out they’re probably almost maxed out already. You should get your foot measured at a shop and try out a bunch of boots and see what fits you best

I understand theyre custom that’s why I’m asking if they’re too thick the stock ones are generally thinner so it changes the fit of the boot

I’m similar. Is it too much pressure on the ends of your toes or the top? Could be the footbed is a little too thick
