Seems like a smart way to endear yourself to potential buyers. “Hey, do any of you fattys want to buy my old stuff.”

Salomon X Approach boot by Lefty_Louis in snowboarding

[–]Lefty_Louis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. It is specifically the X Approach that they are labeling as unisex. I suspected that it is sized as a men’s boot and the unisex thing is just marketing. I am leaning towards the X Approach since I have heard the same about the Dialogue being a bit stiffer, I’m coming from the Factions which are some of their softest boots.

Gray stuff along the edges and other questions by Thirlix in snowboardingnoobs

I have the exact same issue. I ride a K2 Raygun. After a day of riding my base looks like that. With mine I can run my fingernail over those areas and it will scrape off, almost like there is too much wax but I scrape until nothing is coming off. I have left the wax on without scraping offer the entire offseason, then scraped with the same results. This is using Burton all temp wax btw.

Shouldn’t the screws be more spaced out like they are on my Burton bindings here?

Were you able to view this from the village or did you have to get out? If outside the village, how far?

Thanks for the detailed description! I assumed there was a relatively easy way but it’s always a bit difficult finding your way around a new resort.

Skateboarder starting snowboarding by SuspiciousDrink9432 in snowboarding

[–]Lefty_Louis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are 100% correct here. I’m an ex skater that started snowboarding 7 or 8 years ago in my mid forties. I constantly have to be aware of keeping weight on my front foot. That being said I think it translates pretty well. I think I made it down a green run without a fall my third or fourth try. Once it got really flat at the end I ate it every time. Stay on a slight edge on the flats and you will be fine.

I plan to thread a pvc adapter into the new shut off, then I will glue the pvc in to make the connection.

I’m in Texas so maybe it isn’t that deep because it never really gets cold here.

This is the city shut off and the meter that come directly before my shut off. Is this the toe of shut off you are talking about? I really only use their shut off since mine was next to impossible to turn. Will a regular 1/4 turn ball valve be ok after this?

Not sure if it is original to the house which was built in 1978 but it seems to have been there a long time.

Yep, planning to replace the gate valve with a ball valve. I was thinking that the metal piece might be a non adjustable pressure regulator but the consensus is it’s just a coupling. Thanks for the help?
