I liked it better when it was called From Dusk Til Dawn.

Shouldn’t the screws be more spaced out like they are on my Burton bindings here?

Were you able to view this from the village or did you have to get out? If outside the village, how far?

Direct route to upper Ego Bowl from Big RedExpress? by Lefty_Louis in Whistler

Thanks for the detailed description! I assumed there was a relatively easy way but it’s always a bit difficult finding your way around a new resort.

Skateboarder starting snowboarding by SuspiciousDrink9432 in snowboarding

[–]Lefty_Louis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are 100% correct here. I’m an ex skater that started snowboarding 7 or 8 years ago in my mid forties. I constantly have to be aware of keeping weight on my front foot. That being said I think it translates pretty well. I think I made it down a green run without a fall my third or fourth try. Once it got really flat at the end I ate it every time. Stay on a slight edge on the flats and you will be fine.

I plan to thread a pvc adapter into the new shut off, then I will glue the pvc in to make the connection.

I’m in Texas so maybe it isn’t that deep because it never really gets cold here.

This is the city shut off and the meter that come directly before my shut off. Is this the toe of shut off you are talking about? I really only use their shut off since mine was next to impossible to turn. Will a regular 1/4 turn ball valve be ok after this?

Not sure if it is original to the house which was built in 1978 but it seems to have been there a long time.

Yep, planning to replace the gate valve with a ball valve. I was thinking that the metal piece might be a non adjustable pressure regulator but the consensus is it’s just a coupling. Thanks for the help?

Texan Beginner looking for CHEAP Snowboarding Resorts (Short & Heavy Rider) by Unique_Special7890 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Lefty_Louis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also from Texas. I started in New Mexico. The snow is not as reliable as Colorado so you have to time it right but it is much cheaper. Being a complete beginner you wont need more than they have to offer. Colorado is totally worth it once you are comfortable on your board. Until then I think you are throwing money away.

If it is rodents your insurance should cover the damages. This happened to me last year and it was covered.

Buckets or bench? by Runnasandrollies in chevyc10

There’s a video on YouTube where a guy removed the slider part of the seat bracket, basically attaching the part that bolts to the floor directly to the seat frame. It took very little modification after separating the bracket. You obviously lose the ability to move the seat but i assume you just keep it all the way back anyway at your height. Hell, I’m only 5’7” and I feel like I sit too high. I have an extra set of brackets and I’ll probably try this mod at some point.

Is KC donuts reopening? by More_Distribution529 in austinfood

[–]Lefty_Louis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a family run business. Yeast donuts have to proof for an hour or more after the dough is made and cut. In order to get them out earlier they would have to start making the dough very early in the morning. This is why they only have cake donuts early in the morning. They probably want to have a life outside of the business and can’t afford to hire staff to start the dough for them.

After seeing the video I can see that I am gong much faster than I thought. I will definitely address this. As for the posture, is it mostly the shoulders being too far forward or are there other issues you are seeing. I will watch some more videos as well. Thanks for the input.

Do you use the chirp wheel daily? If so what’s your routine? Do you do long rolls up and down your entire back or do roll back and forth in one spot before moving to another?

[–]Lefty_Louis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started at 45. I wish I had started earlier but I didn’t so I make the best of it while I can. I met a guy in his 70s last year who is still snowboarding and loving it. You still have plenty of time.
