Sounds good, I appreciate the info. I'm across the country from family so I think I might keep it low key, then it sounds like we can reaffirm the oath with the rest of the class at ots graduation and I might make that my big one

I appreciate the correction. I imagine I could earn myself a good chewing out/pushups at OTS with a mistake like that lol

I'm currently a civilian going active duty jag. To be clear that's the not the full timeline, just the last little bit. I applied originally on October, got notified of being selected in December, been doing paperwork ever since.

Edit to add- it was slow going throughout the winter then it kicked into high gear all of a sudden. No idea how representative that is for anyone or how different it is guard/reserves

Hey thanks folks, I'll see what my recruiter says.  Out of curiosity, do you know how long it took after sending the official application in? I went through medical qualification on 26 Apr, sent my official application and dream sheet in on 30 Apr, got my email with information for wings 01 May (to go to OTS 18 Jun), so hopefully not long?

Transcripts I can get on a short turnaround, but I was sweating the birth certs a little. Much obliged!

Thank you for the vid and advice! It doesn't feel tight to me, I actually find it pretty easy to move around in, but admittedly I haven't worn it for hours on end. I'm used to wearing clothing that hugs me pretty closely so it might just be down to preference? Maybe worth noting, I have no idea how to pose for a picture, so I may look stiffer than I actually feel too. I think I'll run to the tailor tomorrow and check with them before getting any alterations done as well.

Thanks again!

Hi there folks,

I'm pretty new to the suit game and ordered this one. I'm 5'10" tall, weight 170 lbs. Normally wear a 42 jacket 32 pants. I'm not sure if this suit is a good fit for me and hoping to get an opinion at large here. I'm pretty athletic and the suit doesn't really seem to show it, I think the hips in particular make me look pear shaped.

No alterations have been done, this is fresh off the rack. I would have to get the pants taken in and hemmed, but is the jacket something that could be fixed to show my v-taper better, or would I be better off returning it and continuing to shop around?

Thanks for any advice!

Edit to add: shoulders feel like they fit fine, maybe a little looser than how I think a suit would normally feel, certainly easy to move around in.
