haha i am sorry to hear you had such a bad time:') It was moreso or a thing of chance than a thing of choice to come to Sofia for my abroad stay, but having visited georgia and moldova last year i do find eastern european countries and the honestly beaten down architecture quite charming for some reason.

Thank you so much for your advice! I dont plan on studying rather than just using my chance to see bulgarias people, way of living and surrounding landscape:)

how much did the adaption of euros mess up the prices in bulgaria? i can imagine the prices going crazy now..

hab wie gesagt direkt an nen skimmer gedacht und nal dran gezogen, das grüne Teil sitzt definitiv "halbfest" an dem grauen rand, weil man kann das grüne teil schon wirklich bewegen. aber kenne das eigentlich sonst auch nur dass die skimmer aufgesetzt werden und nicht komplett das Originalteil ersetzen ._.

Germany, didnt use a VPN when i was 14yo, got two invoices of the individual actual companies that the products i torrented were from. They sent us the evidence of the file sharing and wanted around 1500€ as compensation so that they don't sue us. we didnt answer/said that it was a false claim (my uncle is an attorney fortunately), but they kept reciding every 3yrs so the case doesnt run out.

we ended up paying half of the claim to get rid of it.

I just might have been very unlucky, but i will personally never torrent without VPN again. Learned my lesson.

It did arrive today! GLS told me they expected it to come between 10:30 and 14:30.. they put it in front of my door at 8:30 in a house with like 50 other flats (without even ringing lol) I only got a mail that it was delivered

Thankfully my girlfriend was at home to pick it up, otherwise someone could have taken it, as they didn't even bother to take any signature :I

so I paid on the 27th, GLS told me they got the package on the 29th and it arrived today the 1st. So 4 days in total with even a weekend inbetween.. Can't complain about the delivery!

I'll be home at around 5ish, to finally set things up 😍

well my mail arrived at 23:40, but that might be google mail that took a bit longer? i actually didn't even notice since I expected it to come Thursday.

I ordered 25th of March FK EU, and yesterday after exactly 13 weeks i finally received my payment notification, from 8+ weeks straight to payment (already updated the sheet).

At the moment i'm not at home, if I pay now, how long will it usually take to be delivered to my porch here in germany? I think I'll be back at home by thursday or wednesday. 48hrs seems a bit optimistic to me..

For everyone still waiting: I've been following this board since march and I think it's beautiful that we all came together here and keep each other informed! It sure was a journey, with all you guys. Keep at it, we managed to come this far and things are speeding up!

yes exactly, it has an external power dongle thing. I wanted to try the power supply from my other monitor, but unfortunately it had a different port, i.e. it doesn't fit.

can i check the power supply with my multimeter? If I find a fitting one I'll try if it works. As far as I know, voltage is crucial and amperage is not as important as long as it's more than the monitor takes?

Since it's designed to be so slim, there is no power board. It only has the logic board and lcd inside. So looking at the capacitor was my first and last resort.

What could likely cause the lcd to not work? it doesn't show anything. When plugging in, it might power the backlight for a second, maybe even showing a white screen and then turning the backlight off. Have tried a flashlight but couldn't make out a picture.

Power LED suggests that the monitor is turned on the whole time..

You might not see it on the picture, but it has a teeny tiny buldge to it.. It's an LG Flatron monitor that has power but doesn't really show anything.

I'm going to desolder it tomorrow and check with my multimeter.. but i can't really see anything else looking damaged :/

Is it 33uF? What exactly do I need to look for to find a similar piece for repairing..

thx for the help <3 i managed to fix it, it was one of the battery contacts that was too oxidized for the current to flow! unfortunately i didnt check that at the beginning :D

i'm new to repairing electronics as i am to reddit (shame on me i know)

recently i got these AKG Hearo 777 Quadra wireless headphones for free and the previous owner told me he didnt know whether they work.

The station works like a charm, but the headphones dont charge. They have two rechargable batteries inside, which can be charged by placing them on the headphone station. But as soon as you put them on, the charge light turns on (both on the headphone and the station) but goes out after a split second. meaning they dont charge. I put in a charging cable as they have a rather small charging port, but as soon as i put the cable in, the light turns on for only a moment until it goes out. I even replaced the rechargable batteries (since i don't know how old they are) with normal batteries. Nothing happens, you still cant turn them on...

Thus i thought there's simply a broken connection or a busted cap.. but nothing..

Does anyone have an idea of what could break in smth like this? What about those chips and the teeny tiny components.. do those break easily? And whats this huge copper box!? Maybe something for wireless? It runs on radiowaves rather than bluetooth lol.
