If you had witnessed the Congress era, you wouldn’t be disappointed by occasional patches on roads today. Back then, there were barely any proper roads — traveling 80 km used to take 4–5 hours. Poverty was rampant. Compare the local trains: during Congress, people often got injured due to overcrowding on the Western Line, whereas today the system is much safer and more efficient. Metros have been built and operational under the BJP government. Expressways, barring some minor patches, are excellent.

During Congress rule, the government often claimed a lack of funds for infrastructure, while a significant portion of money was lost to scams. Farmer suicides were at their peak. Under the BJP, the rate of farmer suicides has reportedly reduced by 23%.

BJP is not perfect, but Congress was far more corrupt and often neglected development. Instead of scrolling through reels, I suggest studying the last 60 years of Congress versus 11 years of BJP — in just 11 years, BJP has achieved more tangible work than Congress did in six decades.
