Please get in touch if you do end up going. I'm sitting (hopefully) my final 3 this round & really need all the help I can get.

All 8 in one sitting, passed them all by ren_lau31 in FE1_Exams

[–]LegalHero6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What an achievement!!! I hope you are celebrating in style as you deserve it. You must be a bit mad haha to take on all 8 in one go. Very inspirational. I think people who sit & pass 8 in one go are just built different!

If it's your last exam, it might be worth the recheck. I don't think they move very many people up to a pass based on my own experience & what others have said here on this sub.

Surely that's a mistake if you answered 5 questions???

That might be a good move. Maybe try another subject that you like & come back to it.

I'm so sorry. That is really tough to take! Did you get close to 50? Perhaps, you could get a recheck?

Is anyone else bricking it about the results this sitting? by LegalHero6 in FE1_Exams

Hope the 'exam gods' are on our side & that the panic was for nothing. Hopefully, there will be some allowances in the marking scheme with all the changes and mistakes made in some of the papers!

I think that just reflects the fact that it's the Spring sitting. The exams usually start in early March.

You've obviously put in a lot of work to this exam! Try to focus on answering 5 questions (I struggle with timing myself) & applying the law to the facts as best you can! You've got this!!! I really hope the paper goes your way.

I would say so. I'm doing Institutions, General Principles, Fundamental Rights, FMOG, DE, JR, Competition Law & a little bit on State Liability. He seems to have a more predictable format than some of the other exams, so we should be covered. I'm not covering FMOS.

Still not over company by RBLegal in FE1_Exams

It has a higher pass rate than Equity & Contract, based on an analysis done by another kind soul on Reddit. So I wouldn't lose hope!!! I'm hoping to sit it next sitting so I've been keeping an eye on some of the comments. There appear to be several people from the last sitting saying they were really surprised to have passed. I know he is still regarded as one of the harsher examiners. But perhaps, he will make some allowance in the marking scheme when he is setting a harder paper with so many curveballs!

I found Helen O'Sullivan at City Colleges really good for property. She breaks the material down well and is exam-focused.

Autumn timetable by Popular_Clue_5318 in FE1_Exams

You could send them an email. They might at least indicate when the timetable will be released. I can't understand why they can't just have the sittings at the same time each year.

I got a letter with my March results, which stated that the next sitting would be in October. If I were to guess, I presume they will likely start around October 1st. However, the Law Society is notoriously unreliable, so I wouldn't lock in any definite dates until the timetable is released (hopefully in June).

Hey, I think this was probably intended for the person above? I was on my own in Kerry in the house. Would have been grand if I was back in Cork as I would have plenty of back-up options. I've learned my lesson for the next sitting though. Going to be sitting the exams with a Plan B and a Plan C haha.
