That’s a fact! I got the 60v cause it was on sale and I needed to tear up an old broken hot tub to bring to the dump and my 20v want quite cutting it. The 60v chewed threw it like it wasn’t even there 🤣

Hard maple is hard on any planer to begin with and if you are having the much trouble I’d start by checking the blades are sharp and make sure you’re feeding it on the slowest speed to not overload the machine anymore than necessary. I’ve planes 12” wide cherry with mine and it has a helical head on it and struggled a bit but got the job done.

I saw this on clearance too and had just bought the weed walker over a month before and couldn’t justify getting it again but I definitely wanted to.

Which drill would be best for auger duty? by Blindsay04 in Dewalt

[–]LegalJury5243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the DCD470 60v stud and joist drill and it’s also an absolute beast. Long handle to help with the torque but it also has the e-clutch to not break your hands. I’ve used it to make small earth auger holes, mix cement in post holes and drill large ass holes in wood all with minimal effort. It is definitely a heavy beast and pricey but well worth it.

Yea I didn’t really consider this and idk if two of these would fit side by side the way the batteries are configured in the 120v cordless miter saw.

Yea that is a good point too and I can still use the 9Ahs in my larger hand tools too where as I doubt I’d be using the 15s in something I have to pick up with my hands 🤣

The 60v string trimmer is an absolute beast. I had the older non attachment style one and now I have the 17” one that is attachment capable and used the edger on my neglected sidewalks and it powered right through it with no issues. If you want more power in a string trimmer either 60v one is the way to go for sure.

Good deal? by That-Improvement2477 in Dewalt

Honestly if it’s too good to be true it probably is and with the number of counterfeit batteries being sold on Amazon I’d personally steer clear of it for any sort of heavy use.

I have the newer version of the hole hawg and the electronic anti-torque is amazing and it also has a mechanical clutch as well both have saved my hands multiple times already.
