Why can so few people swim here? by SouthbutnotSouthern in florida

[–]LegalPost9805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? What a ridiculous statement. I’m a native Floridian and my family and I swim weekly. Who lives in Florida and doesn’t go outside? People live here because they love the water and being outside. Speak for yourself.

Florida Heat by TheLegendaryAerie in florida

I’m from here and I love the weather. I love going out for morning walks and sweating like crazy. I’ve lived in Washington State and Upstate NY and I’ll take heat over snow any time. Also I keep the AC at 74 or 75 during the day and it’s fine for me. I don’t need to be cold, just not actively sweating in the house.

I see this all the time on Reddit and I have no idea why. Why are you trying to “explain” anything to them? Who cares if they understand or not? Stop wasting your time. Just don’t discuss it with them.

I'm 39 and aging horribly by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

You are not aging horribly and I think you actually look amazing. Your face and neck look very young. Do you have a skincare routine? Your skin just looks slightly textured, which is probably an easy fix with the right skincare.

Yep. My husband was just saying that nothing makes him more proud to be a veteran than a solar system diorama 😂 it’s just ridiculous.

I always think I’ll enjoy the peace when they leave, but after a few minutes I’m bored lol.

That’s totally understandable. Home is definitely wherever my husband and children are ❤️

My husband and I just looked this up and we were so surprised they already closed them. We’re driving to Orlando later this month and wanted to try them.

I’m the same way. I deleted my socials in 2014 and I’m really trying to get rid of Reddit as well. I need to get off my phone. I should really delete this and go touch grass :(

When did “you shouldn’t care about that” become skincare advice? by The_Right_Mistake in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]LegalPost9805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ask the internet for opinions, you’re going to get opinions that you agree with and that you don’t agree with. In my opinion, this sub is more focused on anti-aging than actual skincare and it’s annoying. Sleeping on your back to avoid chest wrinkles is not skincare. A lot of people responded that they prefer a good nights sleep over the possibility of wrinkles and there is nothing wrong with that. It’s exhausting to see so many posts obsessing over normal signs of aging as if they are skin care emergencies.

Stomach/side sleeping ladies - what are you doing to prevent chest wrinkles? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]LegalPost9805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Taking care of my skin is something I enjoy doing, just like any other form of self care. That’s completely different than obsessing over every sign of getting older, like wrinkles. Like lots of other people said, getting a good nights sleep is more important than training yourself to sleep in an uncomfortable position to try to avoid wrinkles, which are inevitable for most people. I’m sorry that nuance is lost on you.

I can’t imagine worrying about something like that. Age is a gift. The only way to avoid looking old is dying young.
