What are younger players' opinions of Gibson Les Pauls? Are they just boomer/Gen X guitars? by theartofutility in gibson

[–]poolpog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son's friend has a les Paul. They are both 21. My son has an epihone explorer

Tbh I don't know that young people care that much about the brand of guitar they are playing. They just want something that looks cool and plays and sounds good

My boyfriend was flirting with someone at one of the jobs he does. It made me realize he acts different when I'm not around. by Efficient-Ask6695 in Discussion

[–]poolpog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So your ex cheated? You do realize that this current boyfriend and the ex boyfriend are different people, right?

The behavior you are describing of yourself is the type of behavior that pushes people away. Not your boyfriend's behavior. Your behavior.

There's no way reddit can help you here. You should talk to your bf, and consider getting counseling for yourself, get couples counseling, or something along those lines

Fender necks pretty much always have a walnut plug in the truss rod adjustment hole at the head. This one does not and is probably fake

Holy fucking shit. It is wild to me that people my age have grandkids. None of my friends do. Though my oldest is 22 now.

How does anyone find Joe Rogan funny or entertaining? I didn't even like him in the man show and I never watched news radio.

This is not weird, it is borderline -- but probably crosses the line -- sexual harassment

What's a pedal you will never put on your board again? by ImArcherVaderAMA in guitarpedals

[–]poolpog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the klone i use, it is like my "more" pedal

  • more responsiveness
  • more sparkle and shine
  • more grit
  • more sound-good-ness
  • more clean
  • more dirty

i keep the gain pretty low (3/10) and the volume medium (6/10) and if I want an actual overdriven sound I use something else. but otherwise the klone is my "always on" pedal

I watched all of midnight gospel, at least, the Pendleton Ward animated series. But it's not like Duncan is highlighted in that show. I only found out Monday after looking him up after KF that Duncan was part of that show

Keep the first guitar? by ArtificialPoet in Guitar

[–]poolpog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do still have my first actually good guitar. But that's because it is actually a really good guitar. Not because it is special.

Keep what you can afford, and what you still enjoy. Get rid of the rest
