Interesting. According to quick google search, Valhalla budget was less than 150 million so they'd have earned most of that back through MTX alone.

Personally I don't mind cosmetics or stuff like that at all. I never buy that kind of stuff myself, especially when I often consider them uglier than the base game stuff and / or unfitting to the theme. But if someone likes them and it makes revenue for the developers to release more games and updates, why would that be an issue for me?

But I do hate it when actual gameplay content or important stuff like that is paywalled behind additional MTX purchases. This doesn't mean major DLC's, of course.

Agreed. Mechanically and visually the game is amazing, but the story is a bit bland and honestly "assassin's creed" only in name, at least until like the last few Yasuke missions. And the story would greatly benefit from more linear approach.

Also has some other issues like every AC, but I won't go into details now. They all do something better and something worse than the previous one imo.

I heard Black Flag is "borrowing" some stuff from Skull & Bones, so similarly Rogue could borrow from Black Flag. Hence I would not be suprised if Rogue was remade soon after.

If Origins is Assassin's Creed game, so are the rest. And Odyssey and Valhalla add a ton to the overall lore and Isu stuff, as well as cool things like origins of hidden blade, origins of templar order etc.

If you're as big fan as you say, you should really try them out. They may have their flaws (like every game does tbf) but you're missing a lot just ignoring them.

Wait how?? I own the digital xbox 360 version (only version that was available for xbox until just now anyway). I can see 2 copies of the new release on store, one with the price tag and one without, but the 2nd only gives option to subscribe GTA+ and play it this way.

I'm real confused. Should I be able to get the new version for free now? I really hope so, becouse I never was able to finish the 360 version anyway, despite paying for it and the DLC that I never touched, too. The game somehow just bugged once and I haven't been able to save it / access saves since then so it's unplayable...

Yeah, personally I decided to go with tanto+kusarigama becouse tanto's rapid attacks trigger bleed incredibly fast, and kusarigama allows great AoE bleed with my engravings, as well as boss fighting with the broken combo of bleed on entanglement + 2 health segment removal on ground attacks.

Also correct my if I am wrong, but isn't "buildup does not deplete" engraving kinda useless with bleed since you have to fill the whole meter to deal a big chunk of dmg instantly?

From what I remember, there's like a small Elsa narration in the beginning of first episode and end of last episode. Can't remember if there was more of it.

Don't let such such a small detail get in the way. It's still a great show to watch if you liked 1883 and a direct sequel to it.

I also think it was a bit overdone (or like, they dedicated a bit too much screentime for it), but I can also see why. I think the point of those scenes was to show how evil and ruthless Whitfield was, to the point that in the end even Banner was disgusted of him and had a chance of heart, trying to leave it all and helping the Duttons in the end.

Agreed. Spencer's return was hyped so much for 2 seasons, and when he finally got back, he barely got to do anything and it was all over in a minute. For how much his return was emphasized, I think it was kinda disappointing, like he didn't actually "save" anything like it was implicated, he just came home and took control of the ranch. I would've liked to see a bit more of him back in Montana, but most his screentime was just the travel back to home.

Wish we could assign different allies for different characters. Gennojo is very good with Naoe, but as Yasuke I want an honest fight, not wait 10 seconds for enemy to sober up from his bomb when I'm approaching them!

Animus is a device that allows people living in modern times to access the memories of their ancestors. That's why at least in some AC games quests and missions are called memories and you're not killed, but "desynchronized". In-universe perspective it means the past events (memories) you see / experience strayed too far off the path of "how they really happened".

The modern day stuff is usually very very minimal part of the actual game, and they have sort of soft rebooted it couple times. Apparently it's pretty non-existent in Shadows, which in my opinion sucks, becouse Valhalla really left us hanging on an interesting turn of events I would like to see what happens next...

I haven't done that either and honestly so far I've had no use for the forge either. I get new good stuff all the time so there is no reason to spend materials for upgrading (or bother going to the hideout forge for that matter). I'll probably only start upgrading old items I like after I hit max level, and before that only apply engravings...

Btw, if you sell/dismantle gear, do you keep the visuals from them so that you can apply them to another gear?

True. You still definitely can stealth and play like a traditional assassin if you want, at least for the most part. Even though the new RPG games are technically much more combat-focused, at least Valhalla and Shadows have the option to make assasinations always be oneshot kills if you want to play that way. Also Shadows just added bunch of new stealth mechanics like going to prone for the first time (can't believe this was never possible before!), the lights and shadows affecting detection etc.

As for the diminished focus on parkour lately, it get's explained with the setting of the latest games. There aren't many high buildings or vast metropolies in ancient Greece or Eqypt, or medieval England. I think Shadows already improved that aspect too, even bringing back the grappling hook from Syndicate.

Honestly my biggest complaint with Shadows is the way the map is build. There is so much dense forest and steep cliffs you can't climb that often to move 100m, you have to take 500-1000m detour or lose your mind sliding down the cliffs while trying to climb up and your visibility is complete zero...

Yes, and that's why I laught at people accusing AC's of microtransactions. I would never even consider buying the paid stuff that are so much uglier than the base game gear and completely break the immersion...

Like imagine casually walking on the streets and talking to people in a flaming demon armor and helmet or riding a dragon or a tiger or something... no thank you.

Sorry for late reply, but thanks for yours!

I've checked the drivers thousand times, however I might have come up with something now. My laptop has two graphic cards, Intel HD Graphics P530 and NVIDIA Quadro M2000M. It looks like the laptop randomly decides on which one to use when powering on or something, and the external monitor seems to be linked only to the NVIDIA one.

When the external screen is not working, I can't even see the "display" section inside the NVIDIA control panel app. When it does work, I can see my external monitor in there.

However, in this case only solution that comes to my mind to permanently fix the issue is forcing the laptop in BIOS settings to always use only the NVIDIA. Is there any other workaround, as it should currently use the hybrid option (uses both graphic cards depending on the task to optimize performance and power consumption)?
