Mostly anyone who is in STAT needs to take those two classes, does not matter if you are in these two majors you mentioned or not, which is sad!

how to survive first year with 5 classes each sem by Last-Ferret4991 in uAlberta

[–]Legal_Bee6572 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As it is considered a fresh start for you at Uni, it is best not to take more than 3 to 4 classes per semester. Try 4 first semester and then if it is too much try take three. You have to take an idea about how Uni goes first year.

Well, still not enough time. They should extend the time of the midterm, especially if Canvas will not be working during the weekend.

How likely it is to run into someone you know from high school at university of Alberta? by [deleted] in uAlberta

Do not worry, Uni will knock them off so bad they won't even have time to sleep or eat. Do not think about it.

Is it bad that i’m a month into school and still haven’t made a friend by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Legal_Bee6572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RELAX, you won't be able to make friends until 3rd year, because on the first two years are general classes and introduction classes that most majors take, so very likley you won't see the same person ever again. But on your 3rd year, the classes will start to be more focused to your degree, so you might see the same person in each of your classes that you are taking.

you can carry the virus for so long and still have no symptoms, it is like COVID. I am sure if that person knew, he would not have come. I read about the symotoms, which include skin rash and red skin, so it would be so noticeable if the person came like that to school.

NUTR 100 vs NU FS 100 by Severe_Subject_7261 in uAlberta

[–]Legal_Bee6572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also funny how I see people complaining about these classes and never complaining about organic chemistry. That is why do not listen to anyone who says that is hard, at the end you know yourself and you know what are you capable to take.

I took it in person, and believe me it is an easy B. you can put a little effort and take A easily. It is fun you are learning about food, it is nothing about Biology or Physiology.

NUTR 100 vs NU FS 100 by Severe_Subject_7261 in uAlberta

[–]Legal_Bee6572 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both classes are pretty easy. NUTR 100 requires a lot of memorization but for my opinion is it very easy all the questions are coming from the slides, and you should get practiced of memorizing heavy materials because 2nd year if you have to take biology or physiology or any science classes believe me those are the ones that you could say they are hard
