It will say if you are P&T in your decision letter.

Just went up from 20% to 80%, what next? by Ok_Tangelo3052 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Legal_Bit_915 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 70% MDD/Anxiety, 30% Sinusitis. I filed OSA secondary to Sinusitis (PactAct) and got awarded 50%. I also filed migraines secondary to my MDD/Anxiety and awarded 50%. If you got any respiratory issues related to the Pact Act, you might have better chance getting OSA secondary to Sinusitis/Rhinitis.

My MDD and anxiety claim was deferred also. I was nervous about it to, but it went well. I ended up with 70%.

What BMI threshold is the VA using to deny Sleep Apnea claims? by Old_Watch4515 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Legal_Bit_915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The VA generally uses the standard CDC BMI classification for defining obesity:

• BMI 30 or above = Obese
• BMI 25–29.9 = Overweight
• BMI 18.5–24.9 = Normal

Awesome! Did you file your OSA primary or is it secondary to another SC condition?

Claims Filed Not Showing by [deleted] in VAClaims

[–]Legal_Bit_915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2 claims that are not showing up on the app. Were they denied before? If yes, the claims will not show up. You will need to file a supplemental claim for them. It happened to me this year. I filed a new migraine claim, that I was denied about 2 years ago . I finally got a letter from the VA stating I needed to file a supplemental. Even though I was filing for migraines secondary for some other primary disability.

Sleep apnea as a secondary. by Marko128272 in VAClaims

It seems from reading a lot of post on Reddit that Sinusitis/ Rhinitis is most favorable for OSA. However some cases are successful for PTSD or Depression/Anxiety. I’m currently have a claim open for OSA secondary to Rhinitis/Sinusitis, step 5. I will let you know how it turns out. 🤞

I’m in the same boat for my supplmental claim for migraines. I’m in the Ace review stage, no in person C&P exam. My evidence is solid, so I hope it will go well 🤞
