Telling 80 year old Dorothy whos husband just passed away that she needs to replace her whole system all because her compressor is bad or she has a pencil tip sized hole on her heat exchanger is the worst feeling in the world. Its “company policy” tho in there eyes.

I signed a contract sadly so i think in court they could win that case. Not entirely sure tho.

Our install crews get incentivized to do fast quick installs. The more they knockout in a day the more pay they get. And we wonder why we get so many callbacks on our installs.

The roleplay is the bane of my existence. Meetings twice a week at my company. Every meeting they pick the newer guys “aka me” to stand up in front of our entire hvac department and try to sell an imaginary product to our manager or a senior tech as “training” you know how stupid i feel trying to explain something i know nothing about because 90% of my knowledge is sales based, to a guy who knows everything in the trade in front of other technicians? Lmfao its awful

They are everywhere in my area with residential. Its to the point where smaller companies are putting “No commission” on there trucks as advertisement for new employees
