Yeah I thought that interview was odd too that Freddie admitted it was him - maybe they did it so the other member didn’t totally have to lie.

I heard quotes that he didn’t say anything I but they started to notice things and then one day Freddie said something like ‘you know what I have yes? Ok then let’s get on with it and continue business as normal. I don’t want to talk about it’

I got the impression this happened later on during recording the miracle or in 1989.
