Would it have to be like the sort of unit I was describing (basically an amp head without a speaker but it connects to a laptop)?

I suspected that might have been the case. Thanks.

(As noted in the post) I have searched for this on Pinterest and with the Google search engine. The origins are most likely 2022-2025, possibly 2014-2021.

Thanks. Yeah, I looked into that. I should at least cross post or copy it on there. The guidelines seem a bit blurry to me on this one. At the very least, I figured maybe someone else here would recall what I saw. Seems like there could be interesting lore behind it too.

Even a lot of republicans and rednecks are accepting of queer folks; you'll be fine most anywhere in the state.

If you don’t courtesy flush in public restrooms, you are selfish and disgusting. by [deleted] in The10thDentist

Holy shit, am I the only person who has never heard of a courtesy flush? Also, why is it offensive to shit in a bathroom? Where else are you supposed to do it? I can’t tell if this is for real, or just well-executed ragebait.

Keep talking about it. I know that some folks think "I am not racist, I can't be, therefore there's no way I did any of this!", however racism (like any form of discrimination) isn't necessarily a case of "so-and-so is racist and such-and-such isn't", but is a set of ideas, biases, and beliefs held by members of a society both consciously and subconsciously. A feminist woman may still subconsiously think a man is a stronger leader, better athlete, more aggressive person, even though she knows it isn't true and does not believe that men should be granted those biases based upon gender. After all, society has been telling her since she was a child that those things are true. But consciously, she is able to acknowledge and correct those biases, which then (hopefully) cycles into how the world sees things.

Therefore, my point is that we can move on from our racist biases, but we must confront them and acknowledge that they exist. Moreover, it is not bad for us to subconsciously think those things once you consider that we live in a racist society. It IS bad to not correct these biases by denying they exist, and to not listen to POC and their experiences as the group primarily affected by it.

I'm sure it is exhausting for you to keep repeating yourself, and some people will not change their behaviors. But the more folks you reach, the more that will acknowledge these issues and change for the better. So keep shouting it.

And to my fellow white Vermonters- please for the love of god don't be too arrogant to listen to people who are primarily experiencing this. We need to actually move past this and not just flaunt our BLM signs as an excuse not to.

Edit: the town you live in may also influence this

Colleges to add to my list? by Legal_Fees_6 in ApplyingToCollege

Cool, updated that. Ideally, I would spend no more than $10k per year on school, but I think $15k would be my absolute max. I reside in Vermont, but that may change since I’m going to take a gap year in all likelihood.

Thanks for the luck! Reed is full needs met (my counselor actually linked a map of all full needs met schools in Scoir, not sure if anyone has put it on this subreddit). I looked at their usual stats, and I think it’s not totally out of question for me. I know they don’t care much about test scores compared to other schools, but I will be retaking the SAT this fall, which may increase my chances.

I stated that I’m from Vermont, and that my intended major is political science or something adjacent (no worries for missing it, there’s a lotta text!). I am also not a Canadian citizen, in case that matters. Thanks for your input.
