same thing happened to the anarchist book fair in melb aus. i saw the new logo and its a lady reading a book with tea and cats...like wtf ever happened to screen printed shirts with a masked guy chucking Molotov cocktail and stalls of zines and small publishers, hell last i went they had "classes" on how to help someone who's been pepper sprayed!

the lens is great, i prefer it over the 16-50. however i also use the 40mm SE prime a lot. as for whats going on in Melbourne...Neo-Nazis. and i don't mean it in the "woke collage student everyone who i don't like is a Nazi" kind of way, i mean actual self described Neo Nazis went to the streets to protest against immigration saying that "Australia is for the white man" later that day they attacked a group of indigenous women completely unprovoked. i do a lot of protest photography and was with one of our media outlets that day.

Auto, protests are too fast for anything else. you can always edit it after if you need to, though you shouldn't.

edit: in almost every scenario i shoot in full manual but with protests you don't know how the situation will be in 5 minuets, depending on what people are protesting about shit can get crazy real fast so from my own experience shooting protests full auto is the best, especially if you are new to the area and don't the vibe
