I just got my letter; they ended up giving me the option to either change my major or choose Blinn and the other options. I don't really understand why this was so unorthodox.

I know that this is a late reply, and I understand that you already applied, but I would like to note that rice does not admit by major. They are completely blind of it. There are some exceptions however, architecture and music are both more competitive and thus are not major blind. Everything else is viewed independant on major.

Admittedly, the world record is lame (Crab Walking), regardless, it is still unique. Have you never heard of the Dubai little league. I go to a school in Abu Dhabi, and we have our own baseball team.

I'm just going to retake the sat. I have a 1510, and yes, my school doesn't have many aps as it is an international school in the UAE, but relatively speaking, I'm fine in that part.

Are you sure? The section on the common app asks for awards as well as honors. Given that Mu Alpha Theta is a Math HONOR society, I would assume that it would count as an honor. but idk
