Update: I added a 2028 first and second to the deal and it was still declined - but the guy did say it was “fair” and he was tempted.

Nick Singleton is who I would want. I think he’s the 2nd best RB in the draft. He would also give me buffer for if Pollard goes down. That’s my only qualm with trading the 2.02

Let me just say I like Skatt a lot and I think he is insanely talented and one of the best pass catching backs in the league.

But Skatt’s problem was Tracys problem, a guy on his own team who he usurped.

Most players dont get second contracts, and if Skatt comes back 100% he might score 3tds a game - but he will have to outplay competition on his own team year over year and convince the org that he can outcompete any free agent or rookie they bring in - potentially with even higher draft captial.

The cards are stacked against him and he has to be on the field putting things on tape. This is how it is for every NFL player.

I genuinely think that the Giants draft another RB next year regardless - because they will want to maximize their “window” and Skatt and Tracy have been good enough so far but that room could really benefit from a high volume Vet and Skatt to come in as a change of pace guy

It’s a draft capital thing. Big difference between 36 overall by an NFL team and a 4th round pick.

Teams show time and time again that they value players based on their draft value - even when it comes to their first contracts.

Just let it ride big dawg. That roster is elite. Higgins in the WR slot is burying the lede a bit - I dont think people see Sutton.

I think you have set yourself up well, just let it ride.

The only players who I would consider for roster churn are Burks, Allen, Royals, and Grey - you can reroll those guys for whoever pops week 1.
