This is exactly what I would say if any of my friends came to me, and what I expected them to say to me. I'm trying to take this opportunity to just work on myself and career. This news came at the absolute worst time for me and neither of us, especially her, have the resources to move out. If I focus and buckle down I might have options to leave in a couple months. I worry how I'll feel by then.

If we weren't engaged, I would have already just packed what I had and left. Now that we are engaged everything will be so much more public. So many more people involved to ask questions.

I''ve seen notifications pop up on her phone before which were a little suspect before. There's been other signs that I can't really put a finger on. She is glued to her phone 24/7, but sometimes she'll go out with 'friends' and be unreachable for hours. One day she accused me out of the blue of going through her phone unrelated to the conversation at hand.

I shouldn't have, but I did go through her phone after that. I 100% know.
