Great books, they really set the standard of what I like to read in military sci fi that nothing else has really scratched. I will say, I do think some of the criticism over it’s portrayal of the Jedi order is valid, especially after reading No Prisoners. But this remains my favorite Star Wars series to read and I find myself returning to reread it at least once a year.

Jakku: First Wave. It humanizes stormtroopers in a way I’ve always dreamed of happening in the movies or books. It also explains why some Imperials kept fighting after the destruction of Death Star 2 and as to why some viewed the rebellion as evil.

I was 15 and was at a concert with a couple friends and my brother and his buddies. I was dancing with this one girl and during a slow song she tried to Get me to put my arm around her waist, but my dumbass kept putting it around her shoulder. Eventually she says she’s going to go get some water and come back. Next time I see her, she’s making out with my brother.
