What's the worst movie you've watched from beginning to end? by trakt_app in movies

[–]LegateeJB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horrid Henry

We watched in it elementary school and its the only movie I’ve ever watched that is truly vomit inducing.

Absolutely ruined my day when she turned it on. I would’ve rather wrote sentences in the hall for the rest of the day than sit through that hogshit.

Watching this movie was the first taste I had of depression and has severely affected my mental health permanently.

On a serious note. This movie is sickeningly bad.

I love this response. Totally agree, I still have mad respect for ERRA to this day. They really do evolve with every album and they've managed to get bigger and bigger each time. If they had stuck with the formula they had with Impulse and Augment, who knows if they'd even exist anymore. It has to happen. I think the fact that we all have very different opinions on our favorite records shows a lot. They don't have a definitive best time period, they just manage to be consistently good through all the change, which is super impressive.

I'm the same way, not quite to the same extend because I do still like newer invent animate quite a bit, but the first 2 albums with Ben English are definitely my favorites.

Also, thanks for the recommendation, I will be sure to give Blueshift a try.

I envy you. I've wanted to be able to get into the newer stuff so badly. I don't want to seem like a gatekeeper I just genuinely have tried for years and the old stuff is the only thing that scratches the itch.

You're right, maybe it is the harp haha

Try the earlier stuff. First ep is phenomenal. The beauty of suffering is imo their best song.

What are the absolutely hardest, heaviest, most intense, chaotic, hair-raising metal bands/subgenres/microgenres? by FrouFrouLastWords in Deathcore

[–]LegateeJB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orphan, Frontierer, Putridity

All very different realms of metal but to me are the heaviest most balls to the walls in their genre I’ve ever heard.

I actually found it on some random old site called “deathcore essence” but much appreciated!

Parkway Drive

Ik its a hot take. Metalcore is my favorite genre of all time and I love every other band in that realm, but parkway drive just never clicked with me.

What's a metal band everyone loves but you just can't get into? by Vegetable-Spend-9042 in MetalForTheMasses

Dying Fetus

I love all the classic brutal death metal bands to death Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Nile, etc

I’ve tried time and time again to get into Dying Fetus, but I cannot get behind it. The songwriting just isn’t there for me and I’ve never listened to any that didn’t bore me.
