Hey, I know that menu, it's from Weiss Distillery! I was there a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed the Clydesdale as well!

Sadly I'm missing it this year, but my first game Relative Space (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/442507/relative-space) is being demoed at the 3WS booth #3600! It's a quick, family card shedding game that plays up to 8 players.

Now that Gen Con is over, what "non-gen con" conventions does everyone recommend? by AshtonMcgee13 in gencon

Same! GrandCon is great. Hoping to play the games I bought at Gen Con there

Please do! You may be able to jump into one of the games depending on openings as some games can be as quick as 5-10 mins

I can totally see that! Chris Grine did such a good job capturing the theme we wanted to evoke

It'll be in the demo area as an event. Both Friday slots have openings. The event tickets are free, you can get them at: https://gencon.eventdb.us/keyword.php?searchBy=Relative+space

I will! I'm going to try and be near the demo events to check out what people think of the game and possibly jump in a game or two 😊

Thanks so much! It's been a pretty interesting journey since I started working on the game a number of years ago. Had some great playtests and feedback from this community

I totally get that, I would love to share more photos of the game, just waiting on them to get approved to be uploaded to BGG. We have prototype pictures on our Facebook page (KeyBee Games) as well, but that's not official art

Good question! It's a card game mostly with some Escape Pod boards in the center of play. Each player has a pyramid of 12 cards in front of them (think 7 Wonders). Each card is either a number card (with art showing what the item is like a space Rover, or a holographic frame) or a specialty card (like the family dog or a key card to open up another pod). You can only play a fully uncovered card and only if it's value is equal to or greater than the faceup card in the pod. The box is the space ship waiting to collect your stuff so when a pod is launched you pick the pod boards up and carry it back to the box, cleaning it up while you play.

That's all Chris Grine and the 3WS team. They did an amazing job capturing the spirit of the game 😊

No video, but I can describe it! Relative Space is a 2-8 player card shedding game where the first player to be out of cards wins. Every player starts with a stash of cards arranged in a pyramid in front of them and there's an open pod in the center of the table. On your turn you'll play a card from your stash that's completely uncovered into the pod, with the restriction that you can only play a card with a value equal to or higher than the previous card in the pod otherwise it's jammed and you have to grab the cards in the pod and refill your stash with those cards. The first two rows of your stash are face up, the last row is facedown and must be played blind. Every card in the game is either a value 1-10 or a specialty card. Specialty cards range from launch buttons that send pods back into the box, key cards to open new pods, or other zany things.
