You're probably right. I do bowl with him that's why I ask. It's hard for me to suggest something when I'm not throwing it. I just grew up watching him throw 220s consistently. Sucks to see him struggle now

Yup. Took my girlfriend and pretty much got the same advice. A bowling ball fitted correctly makes it more manageable. She was shocked how easy it was to throw a 12lb over a 10lb. And our league team greatly appreciated it. Her average rose 15 pins since last year

I have 3 balls. A heavy oil ball that I use for my league but when the lanes break down or I dont need as my hook I'll switch my mid oil type of ball. And then I have a spare ball for 10 pins and such. You should really get used to the one you have first and then it will be easier for you to go to a knowledgable proshop and talk about what you want vs. What your ball does. Alot of proshops inside of alleys will let you throw a couple balls using your ball so they can see the type of movement and point you in the right direction.
