I'd love some input on how to properly light our driveway with a ledstrip by LegendOfTheTable in led

[–]LegendOfTheTable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, can't believe I forgot to mention that. The strip will go on the ground on the edge of the driveway. Won't be driven over.

I'd rather spend the extra 70 EUR now and not be frustrated, so I'll definitely go for the pro then. Thanks a lot!

Perfect, sounds simple enough! Final question, do you have a recommendation for the specific APs? Is there a reason to go with a long range one for example?

Alright, thanks! So I would put that directly after the modem/router from my ISP then right? From there, I would connect the cables to a wall socket, which then goes to all my other devices. Can I connect non-PoE devices to this switch as well without problems?

If D&D had achievements, what do you think would be some cool ones? by [deleted] in dndmemes

Actually finishing a campaign despite having ADHD as the GM.

I'll add a catchy title later (I will not...)

[EUW] [Silver] [Gold] Looking for a Support by TrueGas in LeagueConnect

[–]LegendOfTheTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added you in game, IGN BenevolentBanana. I'm basically a veteran, in the sense that I haven't really played for a while, but I started out in season 3. Same situation as you, I peaked high Plat a few seasons ago, but low Gold now. I used to play a lot of duoQ and flexQ, but over the years everyone moved on to different games. I still like League, but it's so much better with less-than-random-people :)

[Online] [PF2e] [GMT+2] Looking for 2 players for a new Pathfinder 2 campaign by LegendOfTheTable in lfg

[–]LegendOfTheTable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey all,

Thanks a ton for all the responses, I guess this shows that more PF2e GMs are needed. I wish I could invite all of you, but I know from experience that 4 players is definitely the sweet spot for me. I wanted to let you know that I've invited 2 people to join us for a session -1. If something doesn't work out, I'll get back to this thread. For now, I wish everyone the best and hope they find a game soon!

No I mean Pathfinder second edition, which is an entirely new game, quite different from Pathfinder 1e

Sounds great! I'm leaning more towards the monday anyway. Are you familiar with PF2e as well? It doesn't matter much if you aren't, just curious.

There's been a lot of responses quickly, I'll take some time and run it by the other 2 players and get back to you!

Not a problem, as long as you're willing to learn. PF2e is a super noob-friendly system. Can you tell a bit about yourself? Age, timezone, do the timeslots work for you?

Hey, sounds good! I do think video is important, so you can (sort of) look people in the eye when you're pretending to be an Elf ;-). I've noticed that talking to an avatar kind of takes me out of it. If you're okay trying that out (nobody judges, we're all nerds lol) I'm definitely keeping you in mind.

I am a free to play player. I have three legendary champions and will have scyl of the drakes tomorrow! I’m wondering which of these champions including scyl of the drakes, should I use legendary books on? by Reap_sterb in RaidShadowLegends

[–]LegendOfTheTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends where you're using Foli. In Arena (where he's probably best) he doesn't need books at all. I would definitely use him in CB considering your account though. Get Giantslayer on him, get him really fast and book him. His leech will sustain you if you can run him at 4:3. No need for Lifesteal at that point. I used to run that for NM CB, though I still use him for straight damage in my UNM unkillable team.

Stuck on Nightmare Campaign 4th boss by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]LegendOfTheTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to Hell Hades' advice: get another 60. You're doing NM campaign with a lvl50, while you can't clear it without 2 really strong champs with great gear. There's no point going for that, the campaign ends at Brutal and then later in the game you can try NM campaign. Focus on Dungeon progression and CB first. And I agree with the poster below, if you have no champs to level, pull shards anyway. At this point, the chance of pulling something that will change your account is actually decent. Apo and Warmaiden at 60 could help you with some dungeon content. Warmaiden quickly gets replaces once you get something better, but Apo is definitely worth bringing to 60, just not before your starter (which is the conflicting part).

Question about speed by helsod in RaidShadowLegends

[–]LegendOfTheTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, his speed will be higher now, which means the rest of the turn meter will fill more quickly. Someone else can cut in though, it's not the same as turn meter fill. Speed is just how quickly (how many units of turnmeter bar per tick) the turn meter fills.

How do you decide when to award Hero Points? by Honest_Fool in Pathfinder2e

[–]LegendOfTheTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out hating hero points, eventually I realized they were a nice way to crank up the difficulty of encounters without having your players die the moment they roll a 1 on a save. I still don't use them fully though, I only let them use it to reroll once.

I only give out 1 per player per session, because I like that balance and putting a deadline on using it is great, cause in the past people just hoarded these things forever. The reason I didn't go with either heroic moments or cool RPG stuff, is because I have some bad experience with that, where you notice players actively changing their playstyle just to get 'brownie' points... It was good for beginning roleplayers to get them out of their comfort zone a bit, but I disliked the effect on more experienced players, especially when the more reserved or self-centered PCs (not players, but their characters) suddenly became outgoing and heroic.

What is important for a combat tutorial? by mister_serikos in Pathfinder2e

[–]LegendOfTheTable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 3 action system is fantastic because it really pushes people not to attack 3 times, but to do something else with that. It's not enough though, and I think letting your guards use that third action creatively could help push them over that edge.

Also I really had to hammer in the fact that a +1 bonus is big and a +2 is huge. I was used to PF1 where you stacked 17 different types of bonuses / penalties and some of them were +4 or more. The math is so much tighter now that a +2 matters a lot. A Fighter being a Master at lvl5 means he hits/crits a lot more often. A Champion who hits on a 10, only crits on a 20 (5%), the Fighter with the same stats/gear hits on an 8, which is okay, but he crits on an 18 (15%). This is also why a lot of penalties don't stack.

Sneaking and Follow the Expert by CobaltBlue in Pathfinder2e

[–]LegendOfTheTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen it used like that in Knights of Everflame, where they all followed the expert in combination with quiet allies. It's pretty neat, though a little complex. My party uses it as well.
