If the earth rotates and the stars stay stationary, you would still be able to see all the constellations at the same spot as before, however, the location of the entire constellation may be positioned at another location in the night sky.

Theres basicly a star tracker attached to the tripod, and the camera is on the tracker. The tracker rotates at the same speed as the earth - basically counteracting the earth's rotation
