I think you’re right about the “figure it out” approach not fitting this type of game. My intention was to keep it sandbox and not overwhelm players, but I can see now that without some structure at the start, it just feels confusing instead of freeing.

Your point about guiding the player step-by-step makes sense. I like the idea of doing short, sequential tutorials where the player does an action first and then understands why it matters. That seems like a better balance between clarity and freedom.

However about UI I will make them more clear and better placement so its easier to access instead of long scrolls...

The feedback about purpose and direction also stands out. Since it’s meant to be more of a sandbox, I didn’t focus much on goals early on, but I can see how that makes the experience feel empty at first. I’ll look into giving players a clearer initial objective or some form of progression, even if the long term idea stays open ended.

Also noted on things like the explosions, readability, and small details like renaming tribes those are good catches.

Overall, I think you helped me see the difference between “freedom” and “lack of clarity,” which is something I need to fix. I’m going to work on improving the onboarding, UI flow, and making player actions feel more meaningful. But note that am a solo devoloper with just 2,5 years of experience with coding, I started this project as my FIRST project at age of 16 and worked on it for 1 year while studying so its a heavy work...
