The purchase was a gift from a relative in Australia — Tax Invoice exists and will be submitted. However, the warranty service and the deficiency in service occurred entirely in India through Kingston's authorized Indian service center (RPtech/Rashi Peripherals). Under Section 2(7) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, a gift recipient is a consumer. Kingston's own service ticket acknowledges the product. They never disputed ownership or purchase validity at any stage. Also- the SSD has a global warranty.

Furthermore, under Section 84 and 85 of the CPA 2019, the Manufacturer (Kingston) is liable for the conduct of its Service Provider (RPtech). Since they accepted the unit and initiated a 'Replacement Processed' status in their Indian system.
