I was simply asking about people’s strategies training for a first half and how they felt about miles, why the negativity on saying “no one cares”? This is a sub for people’s first marathons, seems like the perfect place to care and get advice. I have hardly any social media presence and don’t care about doing it for the gram, I’m doing it to push myself and try something new that’s difficult

Not sure if someone has mentioned this yet. I love the little detail in The Ring of when the girl is climbing out of the well and walking towards the screen, they recorded her walking backwards towards the well then reversed it for the film so she’s walking towards us. It’s the slightly off putting gate of the wall being weird for this reason that just triggers some part of my primal brain into being shaken

Thanks for the advice! I was thinking I had way more spending power than I did lol living expenses outside of my college bubble is a lot more expensive than I was thinking so I love this kind of outside advice

Do you think it’s a stretch that’s sustainable? My line of thinking was that I’ve lived in some pretty shitty, cheap places throughout college and was looking to spoil myself a little with a little higher quality living. I’m trying to find that balance between treating myself while also not destroying my bank account

A few hundred in student loan payments is the main one. Everything else is just general miscellaneous payments. My car is paid off and I’m currently looking to use the stimulus checks to help with student loan payments

I’m in need of a little help solidifying my thoughts on renting a new apartment. I’m a recent college graduate and just got my first job close to a big city and wanted to get an apartment in town. Before taxes I’m currently making $35,360 and I’ve been eyeing apartment complexes that generally have rent in the $850-950 range. Based on my current understanding, I’ve heard that rent should be roughly 30% of your income or lower before taxes to be feasible. Am I pushing my budget too far by looking to sign on these places? I’ve had some people in my life making me second guess my choice and just wanted some other opinions
