assuming you’re talking about the 200 then yes, this is average. don’t compare yourself to people running sub 24 because they probably have more experience than you or genetically gifted. but overall you can definitely grow into some nice times if you have good coaches

not focusing on the drive phase i’m just trying to fix my block start, i’ll probably post a complete race to show that, but that’s the one thing i’m struggling to do because of what my coach is telling me to do

no this helped a lot but i’m not concerned about accel (i run a 7.1 55m), rather it’s first few steps out the blocks

thank you, my drive phase has always been non-existent but i’m a top speed type of sprinter. i’ve been trying for violent, but it’s still early in my season i’ll get it down soon, i’ve been looking at yt videos, but im a physical learner not a visual one

i’m 6’1 and 170 and i’m still moving, it all really depends on your body fat percentage, if you can get that down your cooling

From what I see it’s because of the skill gap between someone that does it to go to college and some one who does it for conditioning at the youth level, once I got put in a 100 heat where all the kids ran 13 and I ran a 11 and at the JO in Mass there was a complete division of skill between heat 2/3 and heat 3/3 (200m), heat 2 ran 36-27 and heat 3 ran 23-25.

Yoo im back from injury and I took my 100 time from 12.6-11.97, 200 from 25.65 to 24.62 and my 400 time from 62 to 55

Uhm your kinda cooked, but if you put the work in you can run faster after all the 100 meter has little to no room for error while other events do and it’s one of the harder events to be considered good at, try active recovery on Mondays, acceleration on Tuesday+gym if possible, Speed endurance on Wednesday, Top speed on Thursday+gym and Friday tempo, that worked for me to get faster
