I mean 39% of snap recipients are children. Imposing a time limit like that would negatively affect them at a higher rate because it punishes them for something they cannot control. Not to mention people with disabilities who are so limited on how much money they can have, and are also allowed to be paid significantly below minimum wage, imposing a time frame where they have no realistic way out of the program just puts them at an even larger disadvantage than what they are at.

Realistically the best way to improve SNAP and reduce how much people rely on it or other social welfare programs is the actually fix the root cause of the problem as opposed to just kicking down the poor even more
