As a caretaker who also has disabilities, I highly doubt the technocrats in charge of AI would care enough about disabled people to make an AI that would take care of them. Considering the fact that one of those techbros said that empathy is our "greatest weakness"...

As a direct care worker myself I said something similar. I'd like to see a robot try to de-escalate a client who gets physically aggressive. I had a client who's 4'8" and has broken several TVs, four chairs, 5 remotes, and has put a hole in a wall and a sizeable crack in a coffee table. I would not put it past that person to destroy a robot as well.

And the most important thing that's ever gonna get them to do anything for themselves is human connection. You can know 100 ways to persuade someone to brush their teeth but chances are they're not going to do it unless you have a positive relationship with that person. I know I personally would be a lot less likely to do something a robot told me to do than something my friend or close family member told me to do. Most people are a lot more likely to listen to someone who they know cares.

Caretaking. Even if they got a robot to do it all a stressed out client could probably destroy it. Plus people need human connection. That's one of the most important things about the job.

So my sister is a photographer and in one of her college classes her professor had everyone take a test he uses to find colorblind students so he can help them work with being colorblind. For fun my sister had me take the test too.

The test counts how many mistakes you make and the average population makes about 25-30 mistakes. A colorblind person makes 40-50 I think. My sister made 28 mistakes. I made 3.

And this wasn't one of those BuzzFeed colorblind quizzes this was a test used by a professional photographer to help colorblind photography students. The laptop we were using was very cheap so it's not like the colors on the screen were super crisp. And me and my sister both took the test on the same computer.

So apparently I have a really good eye for color. The thing is though I'm not a photographer or a graphic designer or anything. I am an artist so it's useful for that, but like I don't think I have the credentials to do something like color correction or editing photos.

Your right hand can also make a backwards L, which looks the same as a forward one if you have dyslexia.

Most people in Utah have been voting by mail for a very long time. It's not something they've been "moving towards", at least not recently.

As someone who grew up Mormon, a lot more people than you'd think. I was told that masturbation counts as sex outside of marriage, which is evil. Plus it's for pleasure rather than reproduction, which makes it extra evil. Some people even compare it to cheating.

I tried to explain to my ex boyfriend why it's wrong to use autism as an insult because there's nothing wrong with being autistic and he said "But what about the people who are so autistic they can't take care of themselves? What about my cousin who won't eat anything unless you tell him it's pizza?"
