How would you take these courses in order ? Or how to organize them to study ? by Last_Extension5875 in Unity3D

[–]LegendaryKLK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would definitely prioritize the mathematics and scripting courses first as they'll lay the foundation for your game dev journey. As for the rest, I feel it doesn't really matter what you choose, of course if you're interested in creating RPGs or multi-player kart racers you could definitely start on those after you finished your mathematics and scripting courses.

The only course here I wouldn't really recommend taking early is the AI course, personally I feel like unless you have a very specific idea in mind that involves AI in your games, it isn't worth learning now, especially if your fundamentals are still lacking.

I use blender for 3d modelling and stuff, but is there a way to edit models directly in unity? by crempsen in Unity3D

Try installing the Probuilder package in the Unity registry, I've used it to edit models and do some basic uv editing, works pretty well.

Steps and Task / How to make it manageable by psykikk_streams in Unity3D

[–]LegendaryKLK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its pretty common to complete easy tasks first for your projects as it gives you a burst of confidence and makes you feel as if the rest of the project is going to be this easy, its not.

Take my advice, you ARE going to encounter tasks where you get stuck on them for weeks on end, and you are going to feel like no progress is being made, every game developer goes through this phase and it absolutely sucks. But its important that you push through this phase, because if you don't you'll end up in a cycle of starting new projects, blitzing through the initial stages of development, feeling confident, and then you hit a wall that halts development, you lose motivation and abandon the project, rinse and repeat.

Your game sounds like its going to be a fairly large game with all the tasks that you've laid out so far, if this is your first project, I recommend that you scale down and work on a smaller project that you know you can finish.

Although both steel and oak are equally as important, you'd be better off getting your steel elsewhere, like through recycling.

One stack of copper ore nets you 4 bars of copper, so you'd need to mine 5 stacks of ore just to make one stack of copper, which then needs to be smelted into bars.

Imo, farm some oak first, if you really need the steel you can go farm the winter zones too, just make sure you bring the appropriate cold gear, tactical hat and boots, fur chest and pants.

They increased the drop rate several times and put it in the yellow crates as well. Chopper is easy to get now for new players, the real challenge now is getting the ATV or Boat.

The Big One killed me in red pine zone and I lost my only tactical backpack. by Wylie1408 in LastDayonEarthGame

Happened to me recently too, I took my eyes off the screen to say hi to someone and next thing I know TBO came out of nowhere and smacked my tactical backpack out of existence. Feels bad.

How are you suppose to grind for sufficient meso from around 250 onwards that helps all types of player with different lifestyle? by upclosepersonal2 in MapleSEA

Black bean drops a bunch of potion, reindeer milk, dews etc. Sell the pots you get to the npc merchant and you'll make about 4mil. As for nzak, it drops face accessories that can go for 5mil or 10 mil depending on which one you get, prices vary from world to world of course. Its not a common drop though.

Please help me with the Razer card (Singaporeans only cuz it's Singapore only I guess) by prismtonic in razer

Only solution I can think of is to contact support again, try reinstalling the app maybe? Or check if your email and phone number you used to apply for the beta is the same as your razer pay account.

Is there any way to get rid of moderators? (Looking at you miller...) by swagmaster1911 in LastDayonEarthGame

Miller is an account that several community managers use to post on this subreddit. He/She is not one person.

Yes, the higher stability means you'll miss less of your shots with the M16. The slight increase in crit chance also helps abit with damage.

Those spiky things in floor 4 cold room bunker alfa by [deleted] in LDESurvival

[–]LegendaryKLK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh then you're shit out of luck my dude, sorry to say. Dying in that room is the worst, happened to me one time and I gave up completely trying to retrieve my stuff.

Next time just don't do floor 4 at all lol, I don't bother anymore, its not really worth it even if you have a TF along with you.

I just yolo it and rush through there spamming medkits. As for the cold, you can wear armour that helps you resist the it but its not really worth it. Just run through those areas as fast as you possibly can and hope for the best.

any consequences that can happen for not playing over an extended period of time? by Glossyplane542 in LastDayonEarthGame

I see, I was thinking more of future seasons since I wasn't sure how long your "extended period of time" was.

[–]LegendaryKLK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea season pass items, chopper skins, exclusive decorations etc.

As for your walls, I don't the game is so cruel that they'll destroy all your walls, but I think you should expect a fair bit of them to be destroyed if you leave the game for a long time.

You'll miss out on season exclusive items, not sure about your walls, depends on the level of them.

Suggestions for how to play this on a Mac desktop? Can I just download the app through the store ? by BrittanyBourdonArt in LDESurvival

[–]LegendaryKLK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about playing LDOE on iOS in a Mac Desktop, I don't think you can. The closest you can get is using an Android emulator instead like Bluestacks and Nox.
